OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Update on our sailor friend Brett:  Surgery done at 1 a.m.   Bullet went under ribcage and hit aorta...sigh...massive bleeding...transfusion.  Next 8 hours are critical to survival.  Dr said had he been older and not in such great shape (personal trainer in addition to Navy job), he would have died.  Family is all up with him now.  Please pray for his pregnant wife, Susan...that she and baby will be protected (baby due in Dec).  I told his mom that I asked 7 N4Moms groups to pray for him...she is so very grateful.  Thanks so much, ladies!

Bugsmama:  Thanks so much!  The power of prayer is amazing.  Brett has hundreds praying for him right now...his brother is involved in ministry up in SC....so a whole church praying there.  God is GOOD!

Mauz, the form letter you received is not what you will use to get into PIR. When your SR is filling that out they are being yelled at with the information and that they only have so much time to complete it.

Don't worry about what is on that letter for the list, your SR will be able to change the names sometime within the last couple of weeks or so. Just make sure to let him know who is coming and who must be on it.

We have heard of sailors writing mom, dad, jr, gma etc, and a couple of PIRs back one had put his dogs name on the list. So no worries it will be fixed by the time it matters. :)

Mauz - You don't need too. Many do that, we have even seen some put the dog down!LOL The Form letter is just for the recipient.
All recruits will submit a final list to security about ten days before PIR. This one should have the legal names that match the guests ID on it. So, you may write your recruit to coordinate or make changes.

I have a question, on my husband's form letter, he used a pencil to write the four guest names for his PIR, but it was their nick names. Is it possible that I can just erase and write the correct names myself, since its in pencil?
