I was hoping for a letter today, judging by others, but no such luck. Maybe tomorrow.. if not tomorrow then I'm sure I'll have to wait til next week Wednesday! Booooo.
Im happy for all of you that are now starting to receive letters from your sailor! Keep your fingers crossed for me as I still havent heard anything yet. I hope all is well with your sons/daughters!
The letters will still get to them. It sounds like they all had down the wrong ship number for that division. They may have put them in a different ship than originally planned. Just mail all future letters to the what is on the return address of the letters you just got.
I just got a letter from my boyfriend today! His form letter said Ship 3 Div 022 but in his letter he wrote Ship 4 Div 022. I have been sending his letters to Ship 3! I hope it doesn't take too long before he gets my letters.
quick question....I have been sending his letters to Ship 03 Div 022 because that is what the form letter said his address was, but he wrote in his letter (and return address) that he is ship 04 div 022...is that just a mistake on the form letter then?
Ahhhh I am soooooo thrilled!! I got 3 letters from my husband today!!!! DIV 022. It makes me feel sooooo much better to know how he is doing. Loves going to church because it is similar to our home church. (they even sang one of the same songs as we do at home!!) He also got to see both of my brothers at church too which he said made him feel good! Ahhh this is just such a happy day for me, as I have been having very rough days. Im still missing him more than ever, but just to see his writing and know its coming from his own heart and head and not off of a script made me feel soooo much better!!! I hope that everyone gets a letter from their SR today, or sometime this week!!!!! :)
Sorry to interupt "the flow"...just a little "business".
FIRST no one has done anything wrong...this is just an FYI as it happened on another GROUP earlier today. Just looking out for you and your recruits. :-)
As a refresher I am going to repost the link to the PAGE for:
N4M’s Community Guidelines and OPSEC
OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".
No real letter yet. I'm hoping by the end of week we may be some. I'm really excited to hear about my son's experience so far.
My husband went to the county clerks office to get an absentee ballot for our son, and they said the office would mail him one. My husband could not pick it up. Guess that be a state or county thing. Hopefully our son can get it mailed back in time.
Has anyone received any letters from their SR yet? (not form letter, but real letters ;D )
