To reiterate:
SPECOP recruits 801/802 are on SHIP 04.
If your Form Letter said Ship 02 it is an error.
This should be the address:
Ship 4
3600 Ohio Street
Great Lakes, IL

michie - TY for posting on RTC FB. I had emailed PAO but knew they would not be able to answer me directly as I do not have a recruit at BC right now(security...always vital)...but was hoping they would post on FB. I don't FB so I should have just asked someone to do that! duh...
So glad that some are receiving the form letters and, Bugsmama, that she wrote you a little note!
TMM: Yep, I agree with Craig. Not likely to be getting personal calls yet, just possible "info needed" calls. And for those, they will call back.
In fact, they usually are not allowed to leave messages when making "info needed" calls, which freaks out the ladies when they miss them. That is because they are supervised calls with Navy personnel nearby...I got one of those when my son was there...made me a nervous wreck that I had missed it (I was in a gym class...had phone nearby but didn't hear it). Of course, I couldn't call him back. I did "google" the number. It came back as RTC Medical. Then I really freaked!
Thankfully, he called again about a week later and said it was fine...there was just a question on his medical info, but they got it resolved....(deep breath). Not a fun week wondering what was going on!
Craig, Marty is here at my house now, eating a PBJ sandwich. He's a cutie! :-)
KTKat I sent you a request to friend you but forgot to type the message. I would love to hear about Ship 04 Div 2. My son is in that.
Hi ladies, I'm Betsy and another "veteran" mom on here. My son is a CTT, currently stationed on the USS John C. Stennis, CVN 74, which is currently deployed. He graduated from boot camp in Dec. 2010 and I've been helping on here since then.
Hunter's mom, Woohoo!
Dena, unless something unforeseen should happen, as in an injury or behavior issue, it's a good chance your SR will graduate this date. We do recommend that you check Southwest Airlines for your flights, if possible, because they do not charge any penalties in case of a flight change and they also allow 2 free checked bags. Southwest does fly into Milwaukee, WI ( which is about a 45 minute drive to Great Lakes) and to Midway in Chicago. We also suggest trying to stay in the area until late Saturday night or Sunday, in case you do want to wait at the airport with your new sailor, prior to them leaving for A school. They can leave anywhere from very early Saturday morning to Saturday late in the day. If you book your return home at a different airport, you would need to allow yourself time to get to that airport. The SR's usually leave from O'Hare or sometimes Midway.
