OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Today is another mail day ladies! Let's hope for form letters for those of us who haven't gotten one. Also.. I think there may be 14 divisions in this PIR group.. craziness. I wish RTC would hurry up and update their website! Hope everyone has a good Monday!

katherine brings up a good point.  Do all of your SRSs know your cell numbers?  Remember, we are so used to just clicking on a name---and they obviously don't have cell phones with them.  So....if there is any doubt that they may not remember the phone numbers, please send the numbers to them in a letter!

countrymom:  Yes, I agree with Lala....the Great Lakes Navy Lodge only requires that you have a sailor graduating to stay there.  So no problems for ladies wanting to reserve there.  Remember, ladies, there is no PIR shuttle from Navy Lodge, but it is only about 1.5 miles from RTC so close to drive.

Another reminder that Southwest Airlines (into Chicago-Midway or Milwaukee) has no "change fee" (just fare adjustment) and 2 bags check for free.  Milwaukee is usually cheaper and only 45 minutes to GL (no traffic either).  But Midway will be one of the airports (also OHare) your SRs will be flying out of if going to A School out of Great Lakes--if you plan to meet them there and wait with them.  Car rental is usually cheaper in Milwaukee also.

Ladies, pretty soon, the Discussion Forum above will be opened for you.  In there will be discussion groups by division/brother division.  Joining those groups is a good way to get to know each other off of this main page.  But please....stay on this main page too!  We will dispensing lots of good info for you all here!

Welcome to KTKat and KeegsMom, and the other new members!  Glad you found the group.

We are hoping that RTC may post the divisions in this PIR group today.  We know it will be a LARGE one!

Ladies, just remember that receipt of the form letter can take sometimes 2 weeks, and sometimes even longer.  They can only send one so if you don't receive it, see if you know of someone else who could have received it and check with them.  There is an important password in there for you to get your gate pass before PIR!

Good Morning Ladies!
