OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

TMM:  Be sure to go to Sarge's MeetandGreet as he will give you lots of info on that.  You will be very close to RTC staying at Navy Lodge, but you do want to be there early....Sarge has some hints on how to avoid most of the traffic so talk to him about it Thurs night.

We took the 6:30 shuttle when up there....there was already a big car line, but the shuttle bypassed it so I didn't notice it too much.

You are welcome, C!

We are staying at the Navy Lodge and we are wondering what time we should leave the lodge on Friday morning for graduation? I know the gates open at 6:30AM but I'm not sure how long it takes to get from the Lodge to RTC, especially with traffic. Any advice?

2fast4u:  You print the parking pass online.  You must use the password in your form letter in ALL CAPS.  You can print as many as you want if extra cars will be in your group---just write in the info on the pass.  One per car is needed.  Those taking the hotel shuttles do not need the pass.  It is for cars entering the base, including if you return your sailor to base that night and want to drive on base.  I have heard you can initially use it for entry into GL A School base also if your sailor moves over there.

Here is the website to print it:

Good Morning! Just read the post about the parking pass. Do we have to print the parking pass ourselves or will they issue it to us. Don't misunderstand me, I like being on top of things, but I don't want to over do something that already has order. I don't remember getting anything that tells me that I have to print my own parking pass. However, I have not read everything and perhaps I may have overlooked this notice, I do apologized. Thanks!

Courtney:  If no moms can help you out, call SARGE.  I know his rate is not that high.  He is happy to assist sailors and their loved ones!

Hi Moms!!
I need your help / advice!

My boyfriend graduating bootcamp last month, but I am going out to visit him in Great Lakes the weekend of your son's PIR (11/30-12/3)!

Im only 22, so I cannot yet rent a car. I am staying at the Navy Lodge (On Base) and was wondering if any moms are going to the aiport that Monday morning 12/3??

I arranged for a ride to base on the Friday, but need a ride back to the airport on Monday.

I know its a long shot, but I figured I would try anyway!

I know there are airport shuttles, and the fair would be around $90, so I thought I would ask you wonderful Moms first!!

Please message me if you can help, and I would really appreciate it!

Hang in there, less than 2 weeks till you see your boys!

-Courtney
