WELCOME TO PIR 11/20/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

No, Dena, it does not have that on it.  Everyone's parking pass is exactly the same.

Is the parking pass suppose to have the SR's name and Div on it? I printed one out but it doesnt have specific information on it.

2fast4u, TSP is the thrift savings plan and it is a retirement program kind of like a 401K.

Comment by 2fast4u! on November 19, 2012 at 12:09pm

Good Morning! I just wanted to add that I got 2 letters from my SR on Saturday, she mentioned that the "TSP" or "TPS", according to her letter I am led to think that, it is a retirement type saving plan that they can put money into and it will gain interest that builds up over a period of time. I vaguely remember that she mentioned something about reaching the age of 50 or 60 she will have x-amount of dollars in the account. Anyway, she did not mentioned anything about red flags, merits or demerits, so I hoping I will just be overly surprised when I get there to know. She is good at doing that to me. She loves to hold back good news and watch my reactions when she tells me. I think it does her a world of good and it just mess me up big time. I be so elated until I can't hardly control my emotions. Dog gone dog, that little girl does to me everytime :). have a good day guys. gotta run for now, but i'll tap back in later. peace out!

Residence Inn Waukegan, Springhill Suites, Courtyard, Ramada....all offer shuttle service (actually taxis operating as shuttles that morning for PIR....$3/pp each way).  Other hotels do also.  What hotel are you staying at?  They may use the shuttle service too.  Navy Lodge does not, but many of the other hotels do.

Good Morning all!

Ok, I'm hoping someone here my have an answer as I'm having the hardest time getting one else where. I already have a hotel and car for myself, ex-husband and daughter, however my other daughter and my SR's girlfriend are now coming as well and I'm trying to find a hotel that offers shuttle service to the graduation. Does anyone know of one?

Comment by diannep on November 19, 2012 at 12:04am

angelking:  Don't think they can get on base because they aren't on the list.  But he could drop you off and pick you back up at the main gate.  Sarge may be able to give him a different route that allows him to drop off without waiting in the long car line.  OR.....you can take the hotel shuttle which drops you off right there.  $3/pp each way....then he could pick you all up when you are ready.

Not sure about the military ID line....maybe FTLW knows?  She is a military wife.

OK, I received 2 friend requests for BattleStations dates tonight .... one for 025 and one for 023 (I think!).  When I hit accept, I couldn't get to your page to message you and didn't see the names---because my page is private ....my FRIEND list is now ridiculously high so there is no way to find you!  Crazy website....so....if you requested a date from me tonight, please private message me now and I will get it to you!  Sorry about that.
