WELCOME TO PIR 11/20/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Wait, crap, no Form letter either? Yes, write him ChiefDad. Better safe than sorry.

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on November 13, 2012 at 4:47pm

Yeah, actually the "old rules" are still on the RTC FB page as well, in the NOTES Section under FAQ's. They haven't gotten that far yet.

RTC FB they have NOTES and a lot of them have linksthat lead back to their Official website.

They finally released this statement after many have called and asked...plus some misinformation to the PIR before them as well as saying that this would not take effect until after the first of the year.

Comment by ChiefDad on November 13, 2012 at 4:36pm

OK, I'm confused.  The RTC website still has the old rules for graduation, while the facebook page is listing new rules.  Which site is the "official site" for RTC?  I'm just going to write my SR to ensure that he has my name on the list.  When he left, we had the understanding that I didn't need to be on it because I'm retired.  I still haven't received the form letter.

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on November 13, 2012 at 4:26pm

That is correct Jack - I posted it below...Retired and Active Duty military NEED to be on the List.

It wasn't posted with the original statement ( though it does say "all guests"...glad someone asked though, you never know). Someone asked and then they posted it.

I got another card in the mail today, telling him to add his father (active duty) and his sister (active duty) to the list.  I think we are all set now.  : )

Comment by JackFlash on November 13, 2012 at 4:19pm

Oh wow.... so if you were planning on bringing an eleven year old and didn't have him on the list, you would now have to revise your list and possibly bump someone else off to accomodate the eleven year old.  (Sorry Grandpa)... since each SR is restricted to 4 guests now, under 12 or not.  --the only exceptions being children under 2 and presumably Active Duty military/Retired military---- or are they out too?

I have moved your Meet and Greet Info to the Discussion Forum...I think the rolling smileys were slowing the page down...plus it's starting to drive me nuts LOL Live and learn...

Thank you JasonsWIFE.

I am going to post what you have again for the group.

You have until 11/22 to contact your recruit and let them know of the changes to your ACCESS List.

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on November 13, 2012 at 3:32pm

diannep - They did not address if this will apply from this PIR on. They have only said the two statements below. I have posted on the two December PIR GROUPS to contact PAO and find out.

Comment by JasonsWIFE on November 13, 2012 at 3:22pm

I called RTC and spoke to a PR representative...he said if we need to add a child that can't be left out than we need to write the SR ASAP so he could change it on his list.  Apparently they have up till next Friday 11/22 to change their list, so if anyone needs to do that...do it.  that's what I'll have to do, cause I can't have a 3 year old left out of daddy's PIR
