Hello, Friends,

Since Lynne has changed this to private, I wanted to share a picture of my favorite sailor. I have laughed and cried over the things that have been posted on this site. Thanks to everyone for all of your stories and for sharing them with the rest of us. Merry Christmas to all of you and your sailors.

Thanks Lynne for all your hard work...I will still be here on this site.  (no getting rid of me!  lol)  Right now our son Joe is at A-school in P-cola and should be home for ten days sometime this coming week!  Yeah!  We always worry about something...he'll be getting his ticket to the state of Washington and was told to re-route it home for leave.  Now I will worry that with the up-coming holiday, it will be murder trying to get it re-routed!  See all different worries now...lol  Happy Holidays everyone!

I did figure out it was you...and understand why you can't really post...but I will say I took this group private...so you are pretty protected as long as you don't give out vital information and I won't let ya...I promise...you can just talk about yourself and tell us your daughter is "fine" or "its all good" and we will know to not ask any more questions....lol

It is so good to hear from you.  I was so proud of your great advice, you just picked right up and pitched right in.  I can lead a horse to water, but i can't make them drink you know.  I make all kinds of suggestions but they don't always listen to me.  It is their group and I have to let it be that way.  It is hard for me...lol!!

I am sure glad I got to see you and I hope you will stop in and let us know how "you" are doing and what "you" are up to, even if you can't share about your daughter....we will certainly all respect that.

By the way,

I sure do miss how organized you were, Lynne. You had a list for Battle Stations with dates, and a list for M&G by division. The PIR group for 12/22 needs someone to rally them and get them organized. To date, I have not heard one mention about the blue candles for BS. Didn't you write something on our PIR group about BS and burning the candles that was really inspiring? Seems like I remember someone doing it...pretty sure it was you.

Sorry, Lynne...

If you haven't figured it out yet, I am formerly known as "Daisy's Mom". I started out with my daughter's name and a pretty picture, but you told me to change the name and picture in case the RDCs were - I think the word you used was - "snooping"! After all the hassle you had with that woman about opsec, I sure am glad I did. Something else to clear up...the "BF" in PIR 12/22 is actually my daughter's best friend (female). They graduated high school together 05/10 and did all their MEPS, DEPS and everything else together. The reason they ended up at boot camp seperately, is because my daughter, Miss B, chose Intelligence, and her friend, Miss J, chose Nuke. They are both beautiful redheads, one with green eyes and one with brown...and yes, I'm super proud.

Oh I forgot to mention one of our moms in the 900 division had the audacity...lol...to change her name because her daughter's boyfriend is at boot camp and now is in one of my PIR groups again...and I can't figure out who the heck she is...because I was married to those names...lol...so if you read this...confess I tell you ....confess...lol..It's not nice to mess with Lynne who sits up at night and tries to figure it out....did you know that when you change your screen name it changes it all the way back to when you first joined....no fair I say...lol Quit laughing y;alll...you know that would make me crazy...lol Just imagine my surprise when I diligently reading the posts in one of my PIR groups and someone who gives great advice by the way says her daughter graduated on Nov. 5...I'm like whaaaaaaat...and sure enuff...she changed her name...lol

He is so lucky to have you monica...you are right...all you can do is be there for him...and sitting in the silence may be what he needs...don't be too hard on yourself...my guess is he will be like bear with PMS for a while...cake tasting will probably be fun...hopefully he won't be feeling perverse so that you end up with fruitcake with fudge topping or something...lol
