Oh Stefani..my heart breaks for you and makes my issue seem as miniscule as what it was. If I were in your shoes I would go immediately to seps admin in ship 5 on Monday monring and plead my case. Let her know you are going to be there and maybe if they are going to seperate which we obviously hope they won't with seps admin on your side they could expedite and have her ready to go with you. It is worth a try.

I was reading the blog on top and wondering where the pictures are for Div 951. I don't know how to get on the blog. I'm so limited in computer savvy.

Stefani, so sorry about your daughter, prayers going up for her and you and family. also, Thank you to everyone who prayed for my husband this morn. We are back home from the ER. He has one small kidney stone, and they think they will not have to do any type of procedure. He has follow up visit with dr. tomorrow. Worse case, I may have to do all the driving to GL. If he is still on the strong pain meds. This will get him well, cause he doesnt like for me to drive on trips, I dont like cruise control and I kill his gas mileage. lol... Will be praying for all our divisions getting ready for BS, and for all of you as you start your travels.. Can hardly believe this week is finally here.
And to B2bparts, thank for the wonderful reminder from scripture.

Gee Wiz so sorry to hear that, especially something she wanted so badly. There is something else out there for her then and this wasn't it. Maybe she can get into massage therapy and learn to help herself and others that suffer from anxiety and stress.

Thank you for all of the kind words. Yes, Sandi, she has had them before but it was a long time ago and pretty much forgotten about. She'd learned to deal with the stresses of school and work but I guess BC was too much to handle right now. I just talked to her on the phone and they are medically discharging her. Her roommate is there for the same thing and they're both just wondering what's going to happen next. They were told that the discharge can take anywhere from 5 to 10 working days and they'll be transferring to ship 5 after they talk to the doctor tomorrow. I told my daughter to tell whoever she's been talking to that her dad and I will be there this next weekend and to find out if we can visit her. My daughter said right now they're just sitting in a big room with lots of other people, waiting waiting waiting. I told her that's what the navy does best, is hurry up and wait. It's going to be a long day for the girl, that's for sure.

She definitely needs to do some deep breathing excersies. Has she had anxiety attacks before? I am so sorry and will say prayers that the anxiety will pass.
And very sorry to hear that 357 did not win that Captains Cup, darn it.

Is anyone staying at the Crossland Economy Suites? Sad I won't get to meet you all at the meet and greet.

Beautiful post, B2bparts. A great reminder for all of us.

stefani: My heart broke reading your post about your daughter. I will be praying. Waiting on the Navy's decision is the hard part now...I would imagine. But even if they do separate her, and we sure hope that doesn't happen....I don't think it would be complete so soon where you would miss your son's PIR. I have seen others in various group separate and it takes a while to process out. I think she has to meet with Legal, etc....and sometimes this seems to take time. If you just want some peace of mind over the timing and your PIR trip, maybe you can check on the group Ship 5 (formerly 17) site and see what it says.
But, getting ahead of ourselves because it has not been determined that she will be separated. and we are sure hoping that she won't be..so praying for wisdom, comfort and peace...for all parties involved with this.

I'm so sorry to hear about you daughter. You are lifted up in my prayers. My heart hurts for you but The Lord has his hand in all things...

Isaiah 40:31
"But they that wait upon the LORD
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as EAGLES
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint"

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come.
When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages, below the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm, it simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us ... and all of us will experience them ... we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God.

The storms do not have to overcome us, we can allow God's power to lift us above them. God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure, and disappointment into our lives. We can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them

Good morning everyone... I need to ask a big favor. We may not be able to make it to the meet and greet after all but I am hoping to still go to PIR for my son.. we got a call from my daughter last night, she's in the hospital. She's the one that just went to boot camp this last week. She's had some anxiety attacks and the valium they gave her at RDC made her sleep for a long time. After she woke up, she had another anxiety attack and they sent her to the ER, where they admitted her to the hospital. She sees a doctor tomorrow (Monday) and they'll go from there. From what they're telling her so far, it sounds like she's going to get processed out and sent home. She is so disappointed, to say the least. She called home last night, crying, and I tried to get her to calm down as much as I could to get the details. My husband and I are leaving on Thursday to go to PIR for our son so I'm hoping that if the powers that be decide to process our daughter out, they'll do it fairly quickly and allow her to travel home with us on Monday. Having lived the Navy life for the first 17 years of my marriage, I know the Navy doesn't do ANYTHING quickly. My heart is breaking for my daughter, since she wanted this so badly... of the two kids, she enlisted first, was going to go into the Nuke program (her dad enlisted to go into the Nuke program umpteen years ago), and had all her general orders and what-not memorized before she left for boot. She was SO excited when I took her to the recuiter's office the last time on Tuesday. And now to probably have it all taken away, it's heartbreaking. I didn't get much sleep at all last night, trying to figure out what to do... the "mom" in me keeps coming up with all different what-ifs, plan b, plan c, whatever even though I know we can't decide on anything until the Navy gives their decision and we see what our daughter wants to do. If the Navy sends her home before next weekend, I dont know what to do then either, since I don't want to miss PIR for our son but I also don't want my daughter here almost by herself (we have one other son, my mom lives close by but she works long hours and we have a couple of good family friends that live here in town also).

Anyway, I'm sorry for making this so long, but I knew I could count on you all for some good thoughts and prayers. We need all that we can get right now.
