Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

@kat - thank you! i'm still hoping for no call until tuesday! which is weird to say. haha. :)

thanks to everyone for your support and friends! i dont know what we'd do without you all! i'm keeping a good attitude and i just know everything happens for a reason and for the best. either way...we will still have each other and family. that's all that matters to me!

No calls yet. But my floors are mopped, clothes washing, kitcen cleaned and working on the bed rooms. This is toooo stressful lol

I have watched the BS21 but I have to turn it off after capping happens because the it goes to the PIR ceremony (on some I've seen) and I have to turn it off because I start crying. Oh I am going to be one big puddle on Friday, don't know if I can handle all the tears that are going to be coming out of me. Uhgggggg.

I was wonder how does 4 divisions go to BS in One night????Is the Ship that big that they do it all together? I wonder how they can pay attention to that many people at once? I'm Confused!!! Help Lynn?

I promise to burn candles all next week, at least until we leave on Thursday! (: My son doesn't have his BS until Tues, so I'll be waiting for that call on Wednesday! Now to find the blue candles....
