Logan's mom...take a look up above...there are two sets of questionaires...one is a whole bunch from Jessica..with these they say read only...but just copy and paste into your word processor and you are ready to go..then I took some of them and reworked them into categories and you can find these four as well...just click on view all discussions and I think they are on page 3

We are here for each other we are all going through the same thing. As our sailors are. I know mine is still going through niccotine withdraws so he is alittle grouchy I am sure.. Oh Good! I like the navy blue better! and easier for them to keep clean during PIR weekend! Good night everyone! Warm wishes from down south to all our SR's!

Robin, it is seasonal. They wore whites this past weekend for PIR, but start with the blues this weekend. They go back to the whites in the spring.

How is it determined as to whether they wear the white or the navy blue dress to PIR?

Oy... what a day. Yesterday was a bit of an emotional mess with the phone call and when I came home there was a letter from my son. In the letter he said something to the effect of "I've made a life decision that I don't want to get into through a letter but I hope you will support me... truly believe this is the right thing to do". That's the only hint we get!! My hubby and I have our suspicions on what it is (and what we're kind of hoping for - so I hope we're right!!). Then this morning shortly after I get to work, my daughter calls me and says she was offered an earlier ship date. She was due to go to BC in December and we knew she would probably miss Christmas (my son who's in BC now should be home for leave then). She's now due to leave on the 27th of this month - in 3 short weeks. Yikes! I don't blame her for taking the earlier date but on the other hand, I already have "empty nest syndrome" going on and dealing with another child leaving so soon is going to be a bit rough. We do still have 1 left at home - our youngest son that will be 15 on saturday - so that's some consolation. There's also the issue of 2 trips to Chicago back-to-back. I'll need to work LOTS of overtime to afford the next plane tickets, or keep the mondo-sale going on my site that I have up now (or both, most likely). The big plus to the earlier ship date though is that there is a decent chance that my daughter may be home for Christmas... that would be so wonderful!!!!

Sorry for the vent... I knew many of you would understand how this kind of thing goes. I hope everyone had a great day! I'm off to grab a bite to eat, go to bowling league (non work-related adult interraction - yay! lol) then homework before I crash for the night.

For those who are feeling down about their recruits because their recruits are struggling, they are right at the time when things will start getting better for them. They finally will know that they CAN do some things right after feeling like they couldn't before. They will start to see PIR on the horizon and work harder than ever! It is hard for the families to hear them like this, but believe me....to see them at PIR in their dress blues.....what a sight to see! They may not have such fond memories then of bc, but they will like what they have become!
