Indiana, yes I believe he's a grad and go, but staying in GL. Where is your son going next? I got the call last Wed and letters.

I don't want to cause a stir, BUT I really think we need to post the positive things our recruites say in letters and in calls, stating the bad in other recruites I feel brings us down wondering is it our kid. I know my son don't always tell me the things he does wrong out of embarrassment or not wanting to worry me... We are suppose to be here as a support group and I know it made me feel alittle sad hearing the bad things...These recruites are learning and if they are doing bad or wrong it will get taken care of in bootcamp...My son also had bad things to say but I let him vent and went on...Just a thought that I felt I needed to state,,,,

Mitch - no snow plow will be needed yet...a few weeks later, but early Nov should be fine! I live in No Indiana near the lake and it does get nasty in the winter - it will be very "windy & cold" however!

Did everyone see the photo of the week at the RTC on facebook? It's the leaders running during their PFA,.

I get letters and postcards. It's not like I'm sending the actual comic book, I'm scanning in and reprinting. Each page has 4 comic pages on it, then sending two to three pages at a time. What about that mitchy?

It was so great to hear from my son today. Hopefully have a job tomorrow for putting a customer on hold to answer my cell phone. So worth it. He had a wisdom pulled and said he is doing fine. He did get sick for 2 days when he had the wisdom tooth pulled. he didnt give me much info on it. I asked him why he didnt call me, he said he was sick. he said he is still graduating on time. I had a hard time hearing. the connection wasnt real good but he kept saying he is fine and has been getting my letters. Hard to write when there isnt anything to say. nothing exciting is happening here.

laura this is mitch. yes comics very bad. nothing but letters and post cards. alice says they cant even have newspaper clippings. unless of course your child needs a few hundred push ups (we used to call it getting mashed) then send away.

got phone call and 4 letters from quenton today. talked about 30 minutes. seems kinda bored really. always was an athlete so i didnt think the PT would be a problem. had test on ucmj and rank recognition. musta done ok he could tell me collar ensignia of LT Commander. silver is senior to gold in the navy. said he would ship out nov 10 for A school. gets along with most everyone. got a couple buddies already. i met my best friend in all the world in the navy and 20 years later will still keep in touch. i'm sure alice will take care of the touchy feely stuff here in a while but i must admit that i did have to quell that lump of pride in my throat when we spoke.

last note. we intend to drive up for PIR. for some of you living in that area....should i attach a snow plow to my car?
