I got my first real phone call today, too!!! We talked for almost 30 minutes. He sounded so good and seems to be doing well. He is in Div. 363 and said today was week 2 day 5 for them. They are still having a hard time coming together as a unit (lots of IT) but it is still early. He is a ship staff (not sure what that is) Sounds like he is on watch. But he said those who were doing well and not getting in any trouble were picked for that job. I'm a proud mama! Said he wrote 5 letters this past Sunday with 2 coming my way. I'll be waiting. Hoping for Thursday delivery and not Friday again! Hope you all get calls today! It was awesome hearing his voice and I could tell he was glad to call home.

So excited, got first real phone call from son about 45 min. ago. Div 364. He sounded really good, said they are in Week 2 Day 5. Passed his first of 3 written tests today. Said things are easier than what he thought. Got a few that still dont want to follow orders, they are getting mad at him for yelling at them. lol didnt have to get any wisdom teeth pulled, just one filled, but did have to get another one pulled. said he hasnt ate the same thing twice except for breakfast. Got his dress blues and whites yesterday.. said he will be able to call again in few weeks if not before..

gabby- yes, very near Asheville. I was there today shopping at Michael's for ribbon supplies. We go to Asheville at least once a week. We live in Brevard, it was recently voted one of the best small towns in America. It is a beautiful place to live and a great area to raise children. The leaves are going to be beautiful this year. I can't believe how cold it is already. We had frost this morning. And keep an eye out for my sailor you are headded in the same direction today lol.

Well my mail person delivered my first letter from my SR to my neighbor..and he didn't bring it over till the following week..I keep telling our neighbor to put the mail back in the mailbox with the flag up so the (mail person) knows he is making mistakes..but my neighbor doesn't see it that way... grrrr. Praying it doesn't happen again to any of my sons letters..
