Gosh I missed so much...so first let me tattle on Alice who had such a lovely story to tell who brought both tears and laughter out in me...she had the audacity to send me a note and ask if perhaps she should bow out of our little group..here's the deal folks...I make mistakes everyday...I have confused people witht other people, said things I shouldn't and each of you has given me grace. Everyone has their own opinion and like I've said many times my best friend is an air force brat and I say that with great love who thinks I am a mess....lol! Please let poor Mitch in and frankly I think canning is a fate worse than death so I am sure he has learned his lesson and I am grateful there are people out there who are willing to tell some parents to get a grip on their children in the stores...especially the ones who yell "one, two three." One, two three" over and over and over and over again, or myabe that's just because I went to Walmart yesterday.

Iowa, good Lord one day I don't post and things change...I am so sorry. If there is anything I can to help please let me know. What great story Zane's mom and how true!!

I might have an extra space for a name...give me a week to find out. Remind me though, please.

About the bank issue, the reason so many of our recruits ended up with a new account, because I actually asked my son this question, is because they were not allowed to carry their wallet everywhere with them. When they went to the finance class most of them didn't have their wallet which is where they had put the account info and routing numbers and they were so exhausted they couldn't remember them and were afraid to ask to go get them for fear of getting screamed at and addn. PT ( as my son said, its no like we have a bra to stuff things in...lol) so they just opened new accts. So that may be an answer for many of you. It sure made sense to me when my son explained it.

One final note...I found this card at Walmart and thought of all of us the front said this "Hey mom, I'm off to make some questionable decisions that I could save myself from suffering the consequences of if only I had listened to you."
The inside says.."Lecturing is easy...Letting go is tough!" Have a great day folks!

iowa--my brother had a similar story as your bf 23 years ago...he had an old back injury going in and re-injured it about this far into bc. He was devastated to be forced to separate. It had been a dream to follow in his dad and uncles footsteps..he and our cousin enlisted together. Soooo...fast forward to now...he discovered a new dream and has 3 beautiful children...found success and happiness in the civilian world. He will tell you that his short stint in the US Navy was not a waste of time but rather a step in his journey...he learned alot in that breif time. Hang in there and tell you honey...it will be OK! :-) O! and he was in the Cardinal CO and swore in at a game...small world, huh

What has technology come of!! The posting only said they told me i could call you at the beginning of the week to fill you in, so i have no idea what happened.. so.. best wishes to you all and your sailors! Mitch just gave everybody a different perspective. I'm with you, Mitch. I think the dog house was uncalled for (LOL).
