Hello there! Just wrote a funny card with a personal message and my address will send it to my son and ask him to pass it along to one of his mates who has not received any letters from home. I know my son has/will receive lots of mail, so I think it is important to remember those who will not! Cheers ....

Alice, I must say that you crack me up. You made me laugh, made me cry, heck I don't know what might I might do next. You actually made me feel a little bit sorry for poor Mitch. When I would be missing my daughter and I would start crying for no reason my fiancee would say whats wrong why are you crying. I would just look at him unable to talk and he would hug me and say stop worrying she is fine, she's okay and this is a good thing for her. I knew he was right but the tears kept falling. I would say let the poor guy back in but make sure he knows that house is still out there if need arises lol. He is lucky to have you. And from the sounds of it you are lucky to have him as well.

No deposit in her bank account--but received a Navy Federal Credit Union statement in the mail with zero balance! Which mean s I can't pay her bills until she completes a form to add me! I have POA but it's easier if she just adds me I think! So I'm going to send her the form from the Navyfederal.org site to add me as an account user. After reading the info on the site--I would switch accounts too!

For those who are asking questions about bank accounts. I have not received a letter, but I did get his Navy credit union statement for September. Although, no deposits have been made. But see from some of you that pay day was 10-1-10. Later! Have a good weekend you all!

Jessica, do you know if they try and persuade them to open a Navy account? It may have sounded better to him, but he wouldn't have been thinking that Mom can't deposit money in an account she knows nothing about.

Hello Ladies, its really me Alice! Yesterday my hubby, Mitch, made some comments thats got some of you riled. I too was a bit ticked! Its a good thing we didnt get rid of the dog house when the poor old dog died! At one point he had the nerve to poke his mangy head out of said dog house and say ..you know my son went off to boot camp too. Ok i rubbed his tummy. I forgot Mitch has been to boot camp and Med cruises on so on.He has been there out in thr world with no one that he could on the spot turn to when he needed insatnt help.He made do with HIS instincs and his fellow crewmen, NOT his moms or his wife for that matter. I think he himself is trying to let go but in a dads way. All their lives our kids have known that when all else fails in their little worlds DAD would FIX it. If anything goes wrong in Quents life RIGHT NOW ,its out of dads hands.Mitch has always been our damn against the world. He is very outspoken never been one to beat round the bush . He says what we all wish we had nerve to say . The woman in the store letting her kids run amuck(weve all seen her) Mitch is the guy that tells her she needs to take control of her kids. When the store beside us is being broken into at 2 am he is the one over there with a gun holding the crooks down till the cops get there. And he doesnt even like the owner.... but he dislkes the bad guy more. I know our kids love these qualities in their dad because i see the the same ones in them ,They do look up to him they have learned from him. He has done his job, HE is letting go. (in his way). We love you Mitch, thank you for holding back all the flood waters for us .
Now im gonna choke Mitch with my APRON STRINGS! Ladies you do not have to cut your apron strings. Just get LONGER ones! How dare he!(she said as she gave him a bone). And yes ladies we ALL have an apron.( so to speak) We care about our kids and will never completely let them go .No man will ever understand . We carried our kids under our hearts then in our hearts and if your like me you feel them in your souls. You know that feeling . When my oldest was 4 i awoke in the night for no apparant reason , I ran to his room to find him blue,He turned 24 the other day, because i can feel him in my soul. So i say to you moms keep your aprons with their thread bear strings . The dirt , the childs tears that it has wiped over the years, That apron is your Banner of Mother Hood! And the day will come when the phone rings , its juinor or juinorette , they will say mom ive been trying to reach you where have you been? Youll say baby moms been living Her life but im here now hold on a sec ok . You follow a LONG trail down the hallway open a drawer and pull it out . The apron, strings and all,
Our kids told us they where ready to let go when they joined the navy, but they will always at some point need us . And we will always be there.I know this because we are all HERE on this site.
I would like to say that Mitchie Poo will think twice about tugging on our apron strings again but i know him better than that. At least he knows now we are Mother, We WILL ROAR!
So do ya think i should let come in the house now? LOL!!!

Robin, my son said yesterday was payday...but he couldn't deposit into wife's account until she signed some papers which he said something about calling and faxing a form next Weds. Not sure if that helps but...that's what I know.

Has anyone who has access to their recruits bank account, seen a deposit yet? I sent him with a voided check for direct deposit but nothing yet. Does anyone know when they first get paid?? Thanks!!!
