It does my heart good to see those letters coming in...I am so happy for each ofyou.. I am hoping that Brandi's words about a phone call will be for the whole division so I am sitting here thinking it could be 94 minutes until I talk to my son for the first time in 27 days...not that I am counting.... I alternate between praying and breathing...lol!!! Hang in there all we are going to make after all!!

ugh!! Bring on the water works!!! Just got 4 letters in the mail! He said that they are doing alot better as a team. They got Extra IT one night for talking in chow. He said that being a section leader that he is responsible for 12 other recruits. From making sure they fold properly down to keeping them quiet. We kinda new he would come out a leader of sorts considering he was the DEP leader when doing anything in DEP. So that makes my heart warm to know that he isnt struggling. He said that he is really tired all the time...this is the boy that will fall alseep standing up if he is still for to long lol...but he said he hasnt fallen asleep on watch or anything so he was proud of himself about that. (maybe his body is readjusting lol) A quote from the letter " Our ships officer came up to me tonight and told me that I am HOT SHIT! So I must be doing something right?!?!?) HAHA I just started laughing so hard! He said that over all it is a great experiance. They passed their first inspection! He will be 3rd in line marching in for graduation so hopefully it wont be hard to pick him out!! Oh and he did confirm mail is like gold! So keep sending those letters! Hope everyone else gets letters today that hasnt gotten em!! Once they start coming in, everything gets sooo much easier!!

Hi Lynne, You are the best! I just read your cadence and I laughed so hard then I cried :)
Not sure why I cried... maybe because it is sooo true and it is good to know there are others who feel exactly like you do!
REALLY, you are awesome!
I did get my first "real" letter from my son yesterday. It was wonderful and I have read it many times.

Hi Josie(ship07,div360,pir11-5) I was thinking that they are having trouble also. I got a short letter last week but not a lot of info. No call yet. When he got there he said he would talk to us in about 3 weeks. Hope you hear soon. Keep me posted please and I'll do the same. I think we might be the only mom's from this div on the site.

LETTERS!!!!!!!! My son says he's got a good group of friends and he sounds great. Some guys are messing up but there is no hazing or fighting as that is an "immediate send home". He says the petty officers are "intense" but he knows they're just doing their thing.

hang in their DIV 359 it's a coming....maybe those letters didn't get mailed until Tuesday...I'm like math person so let's do the math...if boot camp averages 8 weeks that means you have 8 groups of PIR groups right. So in each PIR group there can be up to 14 or 15 divisions at 88 recruits per division which could 1300 recruits times 8 on average would be ten or eleven thousand recruits mailing letters all at the same time....now that is a lot of mail to get out on the same day....chances are not all mail gets out on Monday...so let's not give up...and if those same recruits send two or three letters...well holy smoly you get my drift...lol we are talking boo coo mail...lol so lets think positive!!
