Do you all know what a cadence is? It is what the recruits are "singing" to a rhythm when they march? Well, insomnia set in and you know me.. They have a leader that sings the line and then the recruits repeat it. Now many of theirs are shall we say "spicier" than mine...but somehow this fits us!! Anybody else out want to add a cadence??

Okay so I was in marching band...lol!!

Zane's mom I don't know about the individually or as groups, they have an academic test they must pass, the PFT ( running, situps, and pushups) and the class C swim qualifiying test to promote to E-2. That is what my son said. I don't know if there are additional standards. I am so happy for everyone who got letters. For those who did not just hang in there....they are probably wining their way towards you. BRANDI did he say everyone was getting a phone call tomorrow at 2PM in our division....lord have mercy on my soul....lol!!

I Love reading all the info everyone shares from letters and calls! How in the world did people used to do this when they knew nothing about what the recruits were doing??? I cant imagine what my grandma and mom went thru when my dad was at bc then out to sea for months at a time....
Lynne--he said he had not heard the results of his test for E2 yet...do they have certain goals they meet to class up? and they do it individually or as groups??

Daughter called today , but could not get through to my phone, Was able to talk to her dad (were divorced), but he let me know how she was doing. Said she missed everyone and was doing great. I made travel arrangements today. We are arriving Wednesday afternoon. I am really upset that i did not get to talk to my baby.

Finally received the form letter along with a 3-page letter from my son, Andrew. He says he is doing good and most of the guys in the division are cool. But, the division is really bad at marching, especially turning. lol. It's only been 2 weeks so they'll get better. He says despite everything he's more determined than ever to get through it and graduate. I'm so excited to go to PIR, time to start making reservations.
