Okay, we got two letters and just got off the phone with him. It was the best 20 minutes EVER!! Seems he's doing okay, just gets sad when talking about home. The first letter with the newspaper clipping made it through to him okay. Said their brother division is 356. He's a crossing guard, had some other wonderful term, but basically that's what it sounds like. Too tall to carry a flag. They got the or a scholastic flag for their first test. Happy day all around.

Well, there is hope. New Navy Mom got 6 letters and her son is in 363. Hoping my letter will arrive tomorrow. I usually get mail one day later where I live. A phone call would be super! I just really want to know how he is adjusting. I don't know how to write my letters....do I need to be more encouraging (if he is down) or don't put it on so thick if he loving it! HA!
@@Please share with us more of their letters about the day to day activities. I'd love to hear all about it. Thanks!

I am posting this here and in my division forum too, so everyone gets the news.
Yes, got a letter today. Short but sweet. Actually two letters. One he wrote on the 18th, so just at the end of the first week, and one he wrote on the 26th. He mailed them both together.
The letter from the 18th said there was no point in lying, this place sucks. The RDC's are cool but when they get mad it is insane and certain people just haven't learned to SHUT UP yet so we get punished quite often. Showering with 80 stinky guys is HORRIBLE.

The letter from the 26th is pretty short, but it shows a change and he says things are slowly getting better but that some guys still do stupid stuff, just not as often. The food isn't too bad. It's getting cold there and they can't change into winter uniforms until Oct. 4. (Interesting that they have a specific date for that)
He also says that he apparently has 6 wisdom teeth so has to get two removed this week, but he gets to stay in bed on drugs for two days so not a bad deal. ha.

O.K. so now I'm worried a little about his wisdom teeth, but I've had them out myself and it wasn't that bad for me, with all 4 at one time, so hopefully he will be the same as I was and it will be very easy for him. I didn't need drugs. I hope he isn't getting all 6 out at one time. Yikes.

So, now we wait for the phone calls, hopefully on Sunday.
Yeah.

Yeah I stressed that when I gave out his address..Whatever happens he really don't want to experience that. I'm guessing one probably did, but he didn't say.

Yeah! got letter today also.....Sounds like he's doing good. Likes it better that they are busy. Says he studies more than he did in college.Home sick for his lil bros! First inspection to be today. So wonder how that went. But the main thing he stressed was "TELL EVERYONE NOT TO SENT PACKAGES " and at the end P..S again no packages.NO one has sent him any but he wants to make sure everyone is clear on that I guess.
