Hey ladies, I thought i'd drop back and let you know whats happening. My sailor got bumped over to Ship 5.. He was awarded a 30 minute call today.. ahh it was sooo nice to hear his voice! He sounds a little bit the same, but more responsible! Which is great! His shoulder is really bad.. the doctor talked of seperation on last Thursday but wants to review his civilian records this Thursday. Seperation will occur mid October if thats what he decides. He says being on in his old division was better than the sick ship.. the sick ship is hell.. boring, depressing, really gets to you. He is getting daily physical therapy. I pray all of your sailors stay strong through this..mentally and physically. But the girls over on the sick and injured page on N4M are very helpful and encouraging, so keep that in mind! Good Luck to you all.. it was nice to meet you guys!

MDMom--that info came from Mimi (which I was glad to get). My son is in the same division as yours, ship 4, div 824.
Mimi--thanks for the info on the flag. I wanted a 2 star flag because I also have a son at Basic Training in the Army. But the site you gave had a link to the American Legion so I could get the 2 star flag. I've been wondering where we get those. So, thanks again!

It's great to see that the letters have started to come in. I can't wait to hear his voice when he calls. Two weeks down...seems like eternity. The house is so quiet..one off to college and one off to bootcamp. My daughter gets to be the only child finally, but it's not as fun as she thought. Boys just bring so much excitement into the house, lol.

Hi everyone! I usually jump on to new PIR groups to offer help, listen to wows and occassionally make everyone laugh. But I've been dealing with some health issues so I haven't been on this site for almost 2 weeks (I use to never sign off - does that tell you anything!!). But I wanted to say hello and tell you that these weeks in boot camp may seem like they take forever, but you will survive and PIR will be here before you know it.

Jckship, thanks, i'll make sure to tell him which to order and get some money into his account.
