Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Mail Call! Received today! Short & Sweet...doing ok, food good, & counting down the days until graduation! LOL Just like we are!

And of course to write her--so the first two letters I already sent she hasn't received--so maybe she'll get them this week!

This is so wierd y'all just for funnies I said to this young lady who grew up in the Air Force that she probably spent some time in "why not Minot" which is big AF base in ND...which is where I am from...and holy cow....what a small she did...isn't that funny...now her bf is going to PIR in this group...small world

I had that melt down on Tuesday night when I decided that I hadn't sent letters soon enough and everyone else was getting tons of mail and my poor son was getting none and he was wondering why I wasn't writing....yep that is what we do best worry...

Div 951 Wrote letters and mailed them on Sunday 19sep10 so look for the postman :-) I am. Had to run some errands, Sam's club for dog food for my four German Shepherds. But Im hurrying and hoping.

usually my mail is fast..I am thinking he didn't write..and then I imagine all kinds of things..like maybe he got his wisdom teeth out..not feeling well..or he wrote his other friends instead..gasp..lol. I am trying not to be too bummed out.

No mail :( my son left Sept 3rd. I was so upset I slammed the mailbox lid..lol like that made a difference!
