YAY! the letters are coming! He sounded great...ZanesGirly got a 6 pager with lots of love! lol! Momma got a 'slightly' shorter one but full of reassuring info that he is doing fine. Also included personal notes to bro, little sis and hs buddy whose address at college he didnt have before shipping. His biggest complaint was the BCGs he has to wear...never wore the glasses he was suppose to here..I told him the Navy wouldnt let him off the hook! And...the tidy whiteys..lol! Hes a boxer brief kinda guy and think they are 'rubbing him the wrong way'. If the worst of it, he has it made...Ha!

Thank you for all the good thoughts and prayers for the hubby...hes doing better today and Doc assures us he will be just fine for PIR. Good thing...he says hes going if it means pushing him in the bed!

If some of your recruits have only been there one week don't get overly excited...my recruit has been there since the the 3rd...now I want you to get a letter but prepare not to...expect the worst and celebrate the surprise...this was my first letter!!

I have NO patience either..lol.. the first week was awful on me, second week got a tad bit better..I live hour for hour.. that's all we can do.. just think ladies.. in a few days our countdown moves down to 30 some days!! we will get there.. slowly but surely.. at least letters will be comming, so we have a day to get excited about each week!
Comment by Diana in Az on September 22, 2010 at 10:53pm
It is hard to be patient. I am not good at being patient, I was thinking he was gone a lot longer and it has only been a week. This is going to be a long. to long.

Hi everyone, Just wanted to say hi. I worked all day, went to my youngest sons band concert. Missed my sailor. Didn't get a letter today, but I keep checking I am sure I will soon. He has only been gone for a week. feels like it has been a month.
How is everyone else doing?

Hi Lynne--Yes I did--but only a few minutes ago!

DRoberts! We don't have home delivery--I have to go to the post daily! Just waiting for that day to open the box and find her letter!
