OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Laura (Ship 7 Div 355 PIR 11/5) on September 22, 2010 at 12:55pm
@Kat, when I got the official form letter from my son, the zip he put down was 60088-3401. He's in ship 7.
Comment by Kat (MM Nuke) on September 22, 2010 at 12:30pm
Thanks everyone. I'll give that extra 4 digits a try. Hopefully it will work.
