We'll be coming from Pennsylvania, near Piitsburgh. We'll be coming Thursday night so we'll meet any get-togethers. Darn! But we'll be there till Sunday so I'm sure we'll meet up!

Diana that is so kind of you to keep in contact with the gf. My sailors parents are now refusing to attend his graduation because they are upset that I got the KIB and the PIR letter instead of them. Our sailors need EVERYONE's support.. not decide to throw knives at eachother now that they are away. We all need eachothers support as well. This is such a hard time to be going through it alone..

Thanks for your kind words gkneemo...but we are all i this together and just wait till I have my first melt down....lol...my son't form letter went kind of like this...I had so much to say...now I have nothing to say...I love you...I love you...I miss Civilian Life... I am glad I am here...I miss you..I miss Sophie (that's our dog). All I could think of is I was glad I came before the dog...lol..I am pretty sure it was touch and go.

If your child is kind of short winded when writing use the questionaires...Jessica put up about twelve that are in the discussion that various people have used, I reworked some of them and divided them into categories of food, Life onboard the ship, The Racks, and OMG The Recruiter Didn't Tell Me this. The last one is kind of about their first two to three weeks and answers our questions about what really happened.

To Lynn-Thanks for starting all the discussion groups, and for the lovely thought about stopping everything around ten to say a prayer and connecting with your son that way. Thanks for keeping all our children, spouses, significant others in your prayers as well. Makes me feel quite small in the grand scheme of things.

I dont know what my son is going to do without his middle of the night sugar cereal that he has eaten pretty forever.

My son wrote in his 4 sentence to make sure I keep talking to his GF. She is happy that she has a mailing address now. So she can mail him uplifting and positive letters. I just hope she does.

I am glad to hear that the food is good. Always makes us feel better. We have great kids, know they will do well.

Ok Ladies! I have changed my name and photo and I hope I am in better standing with the US Navy! lol I am RickDanger/Stevo's mom, none of which are his real name. Kat: I doubt he's one on the trouble makers in 363. He was excited to go and sounds like he is doing OK from his 4 lined message I received today. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you. P.S. He said the food was "pretty dang good" so I was glad to hear that! : )

Navymom I keep trying to say nice things to our RDCs but they just don't seem to be responding in kind if they are reading this...I don't get it...lol Didn't their mommas teach them the Golden Rule???

Hi Marite and and Steve's Mom. Very nice to hear from others with their sons in the save ship and division as my son. I sure hope your son isn't one of the trouble makers Steve's mom. Yikes. Just kidding. If he is I'm sure he will get straightened out soon. I am sure they are all a bit tired and will be very sore this week. My son pretty much refused to get in shape before he left. He passed all his PT tests with the recruiter but didn't feel like he needed to give it more. I'm sure he'll pay the price this week. Probably is going through sugar withdrawals, ha. Going to get onto my reservations tomorrow. We're coming from Phoenix.
