jckship02- If she is in the choir your will love that at PIR. Not only will you know right where she is and be able to see her but you will be able to hear her voice sing those wonderful songs. It will send chills up your spine and tears down your cheeks. My daughter was in choir and I will never forget hearing her voice at PIR. You may also get to see pics of her performing at other PIR's before hers. They usually perform at the 2 PIR's before their own.

I booked at the Motel 6.. they had plenty of rooms open, they were very pleasant, and they also have a shuttle. Red Carpet Inn's info online wouldn't load for me.

jck-- I called them yesterday to make a reservation and the man was extremely rude and got irritated with me when I asked he could fax or email a confirmation; he said no, only given over phone. I said never mind and he hung up on me. I booked at the Days Inn Libertyville for the same price, just a little further from base. The reviews online were also better for the Days Inn.

Jck someone said if you search in the forums you might find information about various hotels and motels in the Great Lakes area and how people enjoyed their stay. That is one of the ways I found out about people not liking the Ramada as well as recent PIR groups suggesting that future groups not hold their Meet and Greet groups there under any circumstances or for that matter stay there.

I am with you Navymom...that is all we can do is pray and encourage them in our letters and let them know we are behind them and I am trying to send things that will make my son laugh!!

I think every division gets beat now and then...part of the training and discipline..my son-in-law never really wants to talk much about his bc days..guess he has put it behind him..I do know that I am very proud of my son because I know this is not easy for him or any of them there..praying for all of them..come on Nov. 5th.
