Well there is some trust involved but they would have to know the div and ship numbers and we could check out their pages and see if anyone else knew them or if their recruit knew of them. there are pro's and con's. It is just something to think about.

The questionaries are something to get to know information from your recruit that he may not know to tell you. It is also fun and allows you to get a lot of information quick and fast. Also any wives recieve paperwork for their benefits yet? Anyone book hotels and where at? I called around today.

good morning everyone, it looks like my son-in-law to be will be in the 10-29 PIR group. But I will still be checking on this group every day 2 or 3 times a day lol. Remember my daughter had PIR in July, was a grad and go to Pensacola on a chartered flight and was in the choir in the performing division. We stayed at the Navy Lodge and we took extra guests with us and everyone got in even though there were 13 divisions graduating. I am still making ribbons for this PIR group for those who want them and some have already ordered them so don't worry I won't forget about this group. I hope everyone has a great day and gets lots of letters very soon. If you have any questions at all please send me a friend request.

Lynne-- please post the questionnaires, I'd love to send one to my husband.

I like San Antonio too but I'm from Fort Worth and miss home a lot sometimes.

Laura...I plan to stay at the Springhill Suites I have heard it is very nice. blyn..I love San Antonio...I am moving back to Dallas next summer...I hope we get to meet in Chicago. Once of the reasons I talked about taking this group private in a couple of weeks is so we would have to worry less about using first names or initials. Now anyone regardless of whether they join the group can just read what we are saying or writing that changes if the group is private. however like Jessica says Seals family members and such still have to be more careful. So let me know your thoughts!!

Also I have been a busy beaver today and I compiled all the questionaires and tried to make sense of them. Many of them had similarities - so I have kind of reworked them and made a housing one, food one, RDC one, PT and academic one, and general one. If you all are interested in them I will post them. I have to say only the first two are completely done, because it is time consuming. But I think they turned out pretty well.

wow our group is just growing, growing, growing. It does my heart proud to see how many moms, wives, girlfriends are here to support each other and their recruits. Let's promise each other now that this will be a place where we can come and be encouraged, laugh, cry, and feel safe. Everybody's feelings will be respected. Everybody's journey is their own, and while some of us may be having a good day, other's may be feeling down and that's okay. We are here to help each other so we don't have to burden our recruit with our fears, concerns or heartaches. So bring it on folks, let our journey begin. We have made this far and it is downhill from here. I am proud of each and every one of us that we have survived these difficult days of not hearing from our loved one and are here to tell about it. Bravo Zulu ladies Bravo Zulu. For those of you who don't know yet what that means it means well done.

Did you get a letter or did you get the form? When did your recruit leave? And has anyone got a phone call home? And what about hotels. I have been looking.
Comment by Trayalovesjohn on September 16, 2010 at 11:13pm
Worked a ten hour shift today, felt like I just couldn't t take it anymore, and waiting for me when I got home was my form letter. :-) yea! Just seeing his handwriting made me feel better. He said that that was the first time they let him write ( the 13th) so if any cardinal company loved ones haven't gotten their letter it should be there soon.

2ndmomtohim(Ship04Div824) - yes, the address I received from the recruiter was 3600 Ohio Street. But I'm not going to make travel plans until I get a letter telling me his Div and Ship (just to be sure).
