Deanna, thank you for your kind words.  We appreciate all the help that we can get.

Donna, that is funny about the snow.  lol

Vickie, I'll be praying that your son is doing fine and is now healthy.  I always try to remember that the letters that we get are a few days later than when they wrote them, so he could be recovering nicely now.

Susan, Woohoo on no phone call!  I think that's the first time I have said that.  lol

Leslie, lol on not being able to play in the snow.

Lynne & Dianne, thank you so much for all of your wonderful advice and words of wisdom for us through this process.  We would have been so lost without the two of you.  ((hugs))

Cindy, that's a great idea to light the candle.  I will do that too.

Also, maybe some prayers sent out to the "weather gods" to keep the snow at bay until after next weekend!!!

Many prayers and positive thoughts to all of the recruits.  They are in the final stretch and everything I have read tells me the Navy wants everyone to get through!  My son has struggled with a few things and was convinced he would be sent home in the beginning, but no call.  So, no news is good news.

CJ's Mom- All I can say is BURRRRRRR, way to cold for me. We are supposed to get 3 to 6 inches here tomorrow and that is way too much for me. So I am off here for a while going to brave the Mall with the girls and finish up my Christmas shopping and oh yeah my honey turns 50 tomorrow so I am in search of a great gift for him, no idea what to get. He is so hard to buy for. May end up with a couple gift cards from Bass Pro (I can never go wrong with Bass Pro lol) I hope everyone has a great warm day :-)

Kathy - kudos to you for going back to school - I am also going to start a masters program in June. I am 52. My boys have also grown up with a special needs brother and so they have always been in the background helping and putting their wants after his.

On the weather - we are in a blizzard right now. We had 3- 6 inches of snow with 30 - 50 mile a hour winds. Right now I have a foot of snow on the deck. Hard to see outside and I was going shopping. Tomorrow the weather will be frigid. the high will be 3 degrees. Wish this would have waited till January

Just want to mention that I have been on this site for a year and have never seen BattleStations on Friday nights...because of Captains Cup Sat., most likely.  So if there are no I'm a Sailor calls today from19 and 20, please don't be concerned.  If they happen, that is wonderful!  But if not, I have a feeling that they will go tomorrow night (calls on Monday).  Just my guess from previous groups....bottom line...cell phone glued to your bodies for the calls to come at any time!
