Kathy, Yes, I think the next goodbye will be even harder than boot camp.  I will have my son from the 17th until Dec. 26  :(

Penny, Wow!  A lot of changes going on with him.  ((hugs))

Comment by CJ's Mom on December 9, 2010 at 6:52pm

Okay I got a letter but now I want to strangle him.... Okay no I don't but he has this momma worried. First he weighed in at 156 (6'3") and then went to 174 with 18 pounds of muscle... (Yeah right - between the ears) :) He is going back to classifications - not sure what that means - to see if he can become a Corpsman. He said he would be a FMT B and change to the Marine Corps (cooler Uniforms) - WTH is with that I say. The letter said he had fourteen days until he saw us so that means it was written about a week ago.

Nothing on BS - He said he is worried about Korea and the stuff going on there so they must be getting information on the world.

I feel a little better but miss him a bunch

Me too.  I sent one last letter off to him this morning. Miss him lots and we will only have him home for about a week before he is off to A school.

Betsy, that was the same letter I got today from my son. No BS info and he is definitely ready for it to be over!

I got a letter, but no BS information. He sounds like he is so ready for it to be over now.

I will be on later tonight and I will let you know! I don't even care what I get from him right now. Just a a piece of paper with the BS date would be awesome!!! lol Susan

Susan, that is so cute about the rating. He sounds like a really handsome guy. Thanks for sharing. I can't believe he didn't tell her his BS date. Ugh!!!! Maybe you will get that info. Hoping for a letter for you too.

D's girlfriend just called and she got a letter. Nothing about battlestations, ugg! But he has lost 10 lbs and 3 inches from his waist so he is now 173. He couldn't do the weapons because he had pink eye and was disappointed because he wanted to win a ribbon. And, the women in his division rated the guys and he is in their top 5, lol. His gf doesn't like that very much! She said "well he's not looking at them but they must be checking him out!" Poor thing. She misses him as much as I do I think. Maybe I will also have a letter??? Oh and he said that was his last letter because they won't have time to write or call until the I'm a Sailor Call. Susan
