Two letters for me today! If you haven't sent the questionnaires to your SR, do it. They are hysterical to receive back  :)

She sounds pretty good, getting a little grief from the males, it sounds like, because of her position. Lots of details about her living quarters... even a map!

happy birthday to me, the mail man brought gifts from GL!!!!! both dated 12/31 says that was day 2-2. says that he is sick and tired of being sick and tired, glad that PIR is around the corner, says the RDC's still don't know his name and that is a good thing. He passed the first PT and swimming tests, says his boots look like tux shoes and that he had been shinning for hours, he says that are down to 104 guys(started with 114) he loves me and the mail man, he is staying out of trouble(this must have been before he lost his wallet!), peanut butter and jelly is the best meal. says that he gets 3 1/2- 6 hours of sleep a night, and that he says that he does not have watch on PIR weekend ( i don't know if I am counting on that yet) but he says be might not have to be back until Sunday night and that he is looking forward to Monday after PIR, to start pre-bud.

 

So all and all I think that he sounds pretty good and that he is happy with is choice and still looking forward to his future. I am so happy that I have heard from him and have had some of my questions answered.

 

Hope everyone is getting mail today!!!! It does seem that we have a schedule going here .

Heard from my special sailor. Says several in div have bad colds. Thank goodness, he doesn't.  They got their dress blues recently. He is proud of it. When asked 'Does it fit alright?' His response, ' It is great and I look cool, Mom.' I am so proud of him that it hard to put into words.  He is looking forward to PIR 2/11/11.  I can't wait to see him.

SailingHi = I send puzzles to my son as well.  I send him tons so he can share.  I didn't get to ask him if he was enjoying them or not.  Here are the resources I have been using.  I also send jokes and funny pictures off the web, just to make him laugh.

William in Nashua, for a while we were pretty in the dark lol. I was seeing all these letters and phone calls for other divisions and I thought my husbands maybe fell off the face of the earth lol. I was so happy to hear from him though, sad at the same time too because of the holidays and him getting out his wisdom teeth. I'm so use to taking care of him and now it's just me and the animals. So very lonely here... But hey, Feb 11th seems to be coming up on us faster than I expected... :)

ame.....I think facebook is easier than N4M.  If you send me a a message for my inbox I will give you my email address.  Don't want to put it on here.  Than we can communicate through facebook.  I communicate with Lexsmom and DelicateFlower on facebook now.  It is a lot of fun and you don't have to worry about the RDC's.

Got two letters today. (12/31 and 01/02) He sounds much much more upbeat in these two. Said he got an extra day to write because of the holiday. Said he got his haircut, bcg's and they had issued their NWUs. He said he passed his Physical Fitness Assessment and be able to advance if he did well on the written test. He said that he had met a couple of people that he would be going to A school with but didn't give any names. He said they would be having inspection on Tuesday and then their first test was on Wednesday (yesterday I guess). He also said he had no way of knowing when he would be allowed to call. So I guess we just have to continue to wait patiently on the call.
