This is the final test for your recruits. When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

Bexwest....so sorry to hear your SR is down, once he gets to feeling better physically, I am sure his emotions will too. The day my son left for BC he looked at me and said this is for PAP (my father who passed away 5 years ago), he dedicates everything to him. I started bawling, and he just hugged me tighter. It will be even more emotional for you when you see him march in through the doors, with his blue sailor suit on. I start crying about it already thinking about it.
BB....I am dancing my butt off for you. Maybe it has something to do with the division he is in, isnt it the toughest division and the secretive one. Maybe they are alot harder on your division then others, they are going to be the best of the best. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that you get that phone call....it is amazing. Please dont accidently hang up on your SR like I did yesterday, was so glad he called back. His comment was "What did you do Mom?" I was trying to turn up the volume on the phone and hit the wrong button. Oh well, it worked out ok....Mail and Phone Dance...
I GOT A CALL!!!! I too screamed my SR`s name when he said hi Mom! I was driving when he called and stepped on the break instead of the gas. Some guy behind me started honking at me! lol I just hollered its my Son! LOL
Tomorrow starts week 3 day 1 for them. He sounded so great on the phone. He said its not that bad as long as you do what you are told. The food is really good but not like Moms. aww
Got fitted for his dress blues yesterday and now they are being tailored for him. I kept telling him how proud of him I am and I can`t wait till Graduation.
Their Division did get a flag and for the life of me I can`t remember what he said it was for, but I do know that he is the one carrying it.I have been doing the Happy Dance since I talked to him.
I feel much better now. I know he is still alive and doing well.
Congrats 67 and 68!!!! Did your heart stop when you saw that area code?
YAY for 067 and 068! I can't stop smiling! So good to hear her voice.
Eileen- My daughter said the same things your son did...
Lexsmom- She bunks next to your daughter and they are friend :) LOVE IT
She only got 45 minutes because they got a demerit, but she talked the whole time.
