This is the final test for your recruits.  When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

Good Morning ladies! It's a new day for hopefully some good mail! :-)

ame7/SHIP Yes, I'm in Lehighton PA. My husband and I bought a house here about a year and a half ago and now it's up on the market hoping to sell VERY soon! I'm originally from the Poconos though.

Mamawalrus, you're not alone with that video. I cried when I seen them get their Navy caps and seen the PIR, 37 days is what I keep telling myself lmao. I'm so pitiful!

mamawalrus, I to cried when I watched PIR on the computer I just can not wait and I know we will all need lots of kleenex. and for the gf, I understand that as well, I like my son's girlfriend and my son knows I will make sure he talks to her, in one of his letters he even said to make sure his gf was around because he would be calling. I told him not to worry if she happens not to be here I would call her on my cell and put both on speaker lol. she is coming over today just in case he calls today (seeing how 803 called last wed.) hang in there just 37 more day can you believe we are already at Jan. 5th  WOW! PIR here we come..

have a great day all and think good thoughts for more letters and a call this afternoon

Seriously, anyone from ship 09 div 068, let me know if you've heard anything. Either by letter or phone call. Thanks

Anyone from ship 9 div 068 hear anything yet?? I know patience is a virtue, but holy cow. I can only be SO patient. It is good to hear from others about their calls. It lets the rest of us know how things are going and we can only hope it's going ok for our guys/girls. My son isn't much of a writer so I hope that changes real quick. Thank goodness I work all day and can't be home to stalk the mailman. He'd probably have to mace me like I was an attack dog. Well, keep on writing so I can see how everyone else is doing. My husband told me to stay off this site for awhile because I get depressed because I've not heard anything since dec 24. Ha, he didn't win that one. I'm on this site all the time. NO way would I stop. I need all my N4M's. Thanks to all of you. See you on 2/11!!!

send2herb@ funny you say that.. another mom and I were discussing the GF thing and how we felt as moms.  Now my son and his GF are serious but not sure it is a marriage type of serious.  I made the comment I  hope he calls me and not here and then felt bad for saying that.. I remember being young and in love and I know they dont call the GF out of selfishness, I guess it is hard as a mom to let go period!!!   I am on good terms with the GF so that helps but I guess after raising him for 19 years, it is hard to think you may not always be #1,  A friend told me " you will never be replaced and he will always love his mom, its just different then a GF"  So while I am dying to get the call, IF by chance he calls the GF, I will have to be gracious, pray before I speak and know I will see him in 37 days!
