Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My SR is on day 2-2 I think.... on the letter dated 12/20 he told me Monday the 27th was 1-2 because of the holidays.... The im alive phone call comes the end of week 3?

Just to let everyone know L L Bean has a yellow and white stripped scarves with a anchor on the end.  They are on sale for $10.  I ordered one it should be hear tomorrow.

it is the "I am still alive" call depends on where your SR is in training....it is only one 5 minute phone call

looks like 2 divisions 063 and 064 have gotten calls... but what is MANDATORY<,, does that mean ALL divisions have to call???? Oh man I hope so cause I want one too!  :( 

He better not call his GF before me!! hahahahahahhahahahahahaha

mamawalrus...call your phone company...or walgreens sells them...dont buy the big card for 250 minutes, it is a waste of money, because technically you should be getting the "im still alive call" and "i am a sailor" call, and you can mail it to him, just activate it before you send it.  I would imagine they can call collect too.

My sounded a thousand times better today...told me he was leaving friday night for a school...said thanks couldve called me yesterday before i made my flight reservations...stuck in chicago with nothing to do for 24 hours without my SR....is there anybody on here from the woodlands, texas?

Aahhh! I just got a phone call! He said only 15 minutes because Chief was mad. But he says he's good & much better from the first week of boot camp. I can't wait til graduation!

he sounded good.  I feel super, that's my second call (3 min on christmas day)...said they had some testing today but all was going well.  anyone else get word?
