For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

yep, I read that too, I mailed a check to my daughter so she could order them, and the name tag idea is great too. I was worried about knowing who was who when we got there. us with our yellow scarves on and name tags, we will be quite the sight to see...

Wed will be 4 weeks my son left! Cant believe it.
Lexs mom-I think it will be fun....LOL I thought about bringing name tags for us to wear on M & G so we can put our screen names on and real names... so as we walk around we can see them...
I really WANT a N4M group picture with all of us from here...this will be a memory I will always have.

Wide awake here to , its 12;15 and I am leaving home tomorrow from our vacation with family... Cannot sleep, was dying to get on brother in laws computer to check in......having N4M withdrawls....then I read we may get phone calls (804) on the 5th so that pumped me up! Being out of town and all my mail sitting at the post office is killing me,,,,hope to have letters waiting! Will be there bright and early Monday morning!!!!!

cant wait to see you all.....I had my sister in law helpng me look for yellow scarf yesterdy,,,then was telling her why we were doing it and how fun it is going to be looking for ALL those yellow scarfs,,,, I can see me now...scanning eveyone all weekend for the scarf! We will all jsut smile as we spot each other because we know it will be one of us N4M's and then asking each other who they are....so we laughed cause she said are you going to say " Hi, I am mamawalrus" and I said yea cause that is how they know me.... We were laughing our butts off!
