Sailorgirl, you need to call 800-Navy-inn to make reservations at the Navy Lodge. They will ask your recruit's name, PIR date and division number.

A moment of hope and then a severe let down today at the mail box. There was a letter from Great Lakes Naval Training Center, but it was forms for my daughter-in-law regarding her medical benefits. I was so hoping to have letters today and was so excited for a few moments.  Navy moms, thank you for being here for me to vent and post my heartbreak. I so miss my son, it just aches. He is my buddy - the one always up to do the activities with me. I so miss him.

No letter today. Could have used it. I know it may be a while yet. Was doing really well keeping it together all week. I finally lost it today. Its really hard being its our first christmas together and we are unable to be together for it. For now i just keep writing and sending letters and cards. Hope you all have a merry christmas.

Got 2 letters from my girl today!!!!! She is doing great. Sounds like she is having a blast. She said her Division 067 (all women) is working together like a family! Great to hear! Her brother Div is 068.and they are starting to work together as well. They had thier swim test on the 20th and first physical fitness assessment on  the 21st. so lets keep our fingers crossed that everyone passed. She said they study ALOT! She said she has made close friends already. And I can tell they are learning and living Navy terminology because she said she is learning everything for 2/11 PIR and her Division will be PERFECT ! HOORAH 067! (those are her words.) Hope you all get a letter soon! She gave me the best Christmas yet! Thanks to you all on N4Ms for being part of this experience.

@Misha...he left on 12/7. His letter was dated 12/15 so it took 10 days to get here. To everyone..I know it sucks and hurts to read that others got letters or phone calls. Believe me, I cried like crazy last night after I was on this site and saw that others were getting letters and I didn't yet. It will come. It depends on when they wrote and when the letters were going to get sent out. It might also depend on the division they're in too. I don't know how all that works. I'm new to all of this. Just know that they are thinking of their family and friends and missing us as much as we miss them. Just keep writing them. I think that's what keeps them going. Knowing they'll get word from home too. Keep your heads up. I hope everyone has a great holiday!
