I have been catching up on all the posts from today. I am happy for those who have gotten something special from thier rescuit, that amazing piece of them that comes in the form of a letter!. I come home on my lunch hour  to check the mail every day. So I totally understand how you all feel. Nothing yet for this mom either :(

I am in texas, and no letter for me either other than the form letter...must REALLY be hard on you all that live close to the base....I would be driving by the base everyday just to feel close to my son...thank God I am in Texas, right!   I find myself looking for stuff to mail so I can put the flag up on the mailbox so I dont have to walk out to the mailbox to see if the mail has come yet....just think a month ago, I could care less if the mail had come.....gonna be gone all day Christmas...but will forward the house phone to my cell phone....

Happy for everybody that has received their letters....like I said my son is not a big writer, so hopefully WE ALL get a call on Saturday.

Merry Christmas to all my new Navy families...and keep in mind it is only 49 more days

url"">Cin (SHIP 11 DIV 064) - I've only received the "form" letter.  I'm hoping for one tomorrow!  I ran out to the mailbox when the mailman came today and I said I was hoping for a letter from my son that is in boot camp.  The mailman waited while I looked through the mail and then said, "Maybe you'll get one tomorrow!"

No letter for me either.  I'm such a hot mess right now!  I couldn't find the big can of peanuts (right in front of my face) so I could make the Chex Mix, then I grabbed the lemon pepper salt instead of the seasoned salt!  OK I'm going to put myself in the corner for a time out now....
