This is the final test for your recruits. When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

I am pretty sure that i am to the point of Stalking the mail man LOL i am just ready for a letter. It would be totally awesome to get one tomorrow the day before christmas that would just make my Christmas.
Congrats to those of you who have received your letters that is awesome.
Lynne...Loved your comment about the "trouble" makers in boot camp. Funny, but not none of our recruits would even be in boot camp if they were truly trouble makers. So, yeah I guess not standing up straight or shoes not shined correctly would be a no,no in boot camp. Funny though!!!!!
Yeah!!!!! to those who have received their letters from their recruits. I was so hoping for one today. My son Kyle turned 16 and is just not happy today. I really misses his brother and I think just hearing from him would have perked him right up. I feel so helpless right now and at the mercy of the RDC. I do know if my son could write he would.
I did get a little surprise today but not a letter or phone call. This was something totally unexpected and it had to do with my 16 yr old son and 9 yr old daughter. They are off of school till 1/3 and before My son left for bc my daughter and him were very close as well as my son too. Anyways, was walking by my sons room today and saw my daughter and son lying on the bed together with pillows propped up behind their heads both playing some hand held games. Their heads were touching. It was very touching because just several weeks ago he said to me that she was a pain in his a**. After I saw that I asked him what changed his mind and he said that actually she is pretty cool mom. She likes alot of things that I like. I was like wow!! He also said she may be younger but it is nice having her around.
okay have wrapping to do for the grandson but looking for anyone in Ship 9 division 073 to talk with, not that u others aren't great too.
box and form letter but that's been all. guess i am lucky cause we're so close for mail when it does come , lockport,il
Sheryl, there are rarely more than a few moms from each division on N4M. Most moms either don't know about N4M, or aren't interested.
One of my co-workers had a son in Marine boot camp at the same time my son was in Navy boot camp. I asked her if there is a Marine version of N4M, and she told me she didn't know and didn't care. She simply had no interest in what her son was doing, nor chatting with other moms.As far as she was concerned, he moved away for a new job and would contact her when it was convenient for him.
Others either are not computer users, or don't have access to the internet. It always suprises me how many people are not online, and how many don't have a computer at home or at work.
Has anyone from ship 09 div 068 received a letter other than the form letter? I sure wish I did. I am missing my son so much right now especially this time of year. Once PIR is done, he's headed to Pensacola FL for A-school, so then I won't see him for a much longer time. The good news is at least I can talk to him on the phone once he gets there. Keep filling us ones in that haven't gotten a real letter yet. I'll just keep checking the mailbox every day. Thanks ladies for keeping my spirits up when I sometimes get down.
Merry Christmas to all of you!!
