Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on December 22, 2010 at 11:12am

Good Morning everyone, I have not been on here very much this week. I have been crazy busy trying to get ready for Christmas and I have been very "down" because my sailors were not getting to come home for Christmas. But sometimes prayers are answered. A chief made it possible and my sailors are coming home for 2 days. It's not long but I will take what I can get. It is hard to believe 9 months ago she had never mentioned wanting to be in the military. Now she is in the Navy, finished boot camp, finished a-school, got married, finished c-school, and is now at her first duty station and looking for her own apartment. It's a good thing I have always liked Roller-coasters cause man this has been some ride!!!

I have already received orders for ribbons to wear to PIR from some in this group, They asked me to post the pics so you all could have the opportunity to order them as well. If you would like more info or would like to order just click on my name and send me a friend request and I will send you the info. Thanks,

My sons fiancée received the form letter! My son is  Ship3 Div085

I assume PIR date is 2/18 but she will let me know soon! She was at work last night and by the time she got home I was in bed!

Received the box last night...but still no letter.  Never cried doing a load of laundry before...pulling his clothes out of the dryer, folding them neatly and placing them in his room wasn't the easiest.  I am really missing my son today!!  Can't wait to get the form letter for confirmation of his PIR date.  God Bless all of you!

Navymom99, in the first week or two the processing divisions move barracks a lot. The address the recruiter gets may change the next day. The address you get in the mail will be their permanent address.

I have not been able to find anyone with ship 09 div 075. Makes me question if my recruiter was correct. Can not wait till I get her letter. Welcome to the new additions.
