Wonderful, Kathleen!  Thanks, Bobster's mom!

The best thing to do for "extras" at PIR is to get there early...and see what happens.  This is a large PIR group so they may or may not let the extras in right away.  Usually most all get in, but the extras may need to wait in the welcome area until they make sure there is space for all.  Most get in though.

Kathleen:  I posted on the Div 77 discussion group above to see if anyone in your SR's division could get a pik of him for you at PIR.  You may want to post on that division group also.  These N4M's are wonderful...and this has happened in other groups.  There are always ladies who want to help.  Because they are the best!  :-)

Remember on PIR curfew.... get them back earlier because of their long walk to their ships.  As my son said, "Being on time means you are LATE!"  So he wanted to be back on base by 8:20 to be back at his ship by 9.  We pulled into the parking lot by the NEX...but he didn't want to visit anymore because he just wanted to make sure he was back on time...was ready to get out of boot camp and didn't want to mess that up!  They had been threatened with being held there longer if late...he was a Sat. GradNGo so losing liberty wouldn't happen for his group since they didn't have any more.

julesrn:  Yes, definitely go earlier if you want to try for a top seat.  I would be at the gate by 6:30, which is when they let you in.  Good luck!

Also, your sailors may earn late (until midnight) curfews.

Friday and Saturday night (and Sunday because of the holiday) the default curfew is 9 pm. Divisions who performed well during the week between Battlestations and PIR may earn up to three extra hours. Hours may be subtracted if members of that division screw up, some divisions may have to report as early as 8 pm.

My son's division earned an extra two hours for excellent performance (11 pm curfew), then they lost an hour when they relaxed just a little too much. So he had 10 pm curfew Friday and Saturday.

Sunday (in your case, Monday ) curfew is ALWAYS 8 pm.

He wont call until 2pm-3pm EST I got my Phone call at about 2:15pm EST, I did the same thing and slept with my phone all night.  Give it a few hours before he can call ya with the "I'm a Sailor" call
