tstms2003, what a great post! You expressed so well the true sentiments of my heart and no doubt the others on this forum. We are anxiously waiting for BS 21 and BC to be behind them. God bless all recruits and God bless AMERICA!

Diannep- I heard about that too! Tragic/ I feel so badly for the family. Will send prayers.

For all those moms whose sons/daughters/spuses or significant others  are going through BS21 tonite...fingers crossed and sending blessings!! They will do great! Nothing can compare to that burst of pride when your loved one calls and says "I am a sailor". I am still walking on air.

You all, please pray for Chase's family.  He PIRed in the 9/17 group and just finished corpsman school in GL---was soon headed to a special program in TX because he had done so well academically.  He and some buddies were at the GL train station when he ran across the tracks, getting struck and killed by a train....apparently it was an express train that does not stop there---so wasn't slowing down--- and he obviously didn't know that...he was 23.  From CA.  Please pray for his family.  This happened this past Tues....
