Hi everyone here, my son was shipped Tuesday , his plane landed at O'hare 11:30 pm and he arrived at GL, an hour later , so it was Wednesday , Januray 12. Got my son's box yesterday and will have his address this coming Tuesday from the recruiter.

Is March 11, will be my son's PIR ?

JakesMom:  You may want to add a "photo" into the picture icon on this page.  You can google "Navy photos" and save one of them that you like...then put it on your page.  Let me know if you would like to do this and need any help~

Hi, everyone!  Welcome to your very own PIR group!  Your adventure will be so much fun...well, emotional too...but we are all on here to help!  I am joining Jessica and Lala to help to answer any questions you all may have and help to guide you on your way.  We veteran moms try to be on here as much as possible, so please ask if you have questions.  Good luck to your recruits!

Sometimes you can check with your SR's recruiter. They can look in their computer and actually get an address that will tell what div the recruit is in. You can use that address to write your recruit as well but use the one on the form letter once it comes. The address may be a little different but they will still get to them. The one from the recriter may take a little longer. Their mail is actually held for the first couple weeks but keep writing it will get to them soon. They live for mail call once they start getting it.

My son left for bc on Monday, Jan. 10.  I received "my kid in the box" yesterday but still no form letter.  I am thinking this is when his PIR will be.  This has been one of the worst weeks of my life.  I miss my son so much.  He is my one and only and I am so lost without him.  I also wrote letters and they are ready to go.  Just waiting for the address and PIR date..

Okay I will definitely do that. I sent his recruiter a text today, but no response. It was after business hours though, so I didn't really expect him to answer (recruiters need their weekends too). I'm just trying to be patient, but I can't sleep AT ALL so I have really lonnnngggg days and lots of time to just sit around and wait. There's a pile of letters that this man needs in his hands, darnit! ;) Thanks for your response!

It has been a struggle.  I just received an e-mail from his recruiter that signed him.  He was on leave and none of the other guys would give me the address.  His recruiter has his address. Just use us saying we have the address.

My husband left for BC on the 10th and arrived the 10th, so I think this is going to be the right group for me. I've gone a little nutso asking this, but how do people already have their sailor's address?! I got my box today (let's not EVEN go into how that was...), but no address :( And I've seen that some people got the address with their box and one of my newest friends got her address the day after her fiance shipped! What's the secret?!?!? :)

I finally received my sons Gabe address.  He is on Ship 12 Div. 091. and will be graduating with this group.  Looking forward to chatting with everyone.
