Just checked the RTC facebook site - they are now putting at least 1 picture a day of the Recruits -today: Recruits prepare to go through training aboard the USS MARLINESPIKE where they learn basic seamanship at Recruit Training Command.

My SR is in division 150 and he did this was last Wed. (I think) Someone on FB posted they thought it might be div; 155??  Any body recognize someone?

I keep hearing that the RDC's like to threaten asmoe my son is definitly not a troublemaker hes more concern with not doing well on a test-but he pass the last one they took 10 days ago  heres hoping we all get positive letters and maybe even an extra earned phone call  prayers and good thoughts for all

My Hubby said on the phone that the RDC constintly threaten to asmo ppl and its yet to happen in there group. As far as he can tell they will only asmo in serious matters, such as punch other recruits or failing test multiple times (hes had ppl asmod to his division but none leave)

At this time last week we had gotten phone calls.....I was so hoping that would happen again....but I'm going to write and write, my son actually said that he likes all my ramblings...if he can get through this.....then I can too!

Thank You All for the kind words and prayers  and yes I'm praying for all and hoping it does get better for them real soon  I should receive a letter tomorrow hopefully its more positive

Michelle:  my son,Ship 12 /div 154) too is afraid of being asmoed.  Although he is not my only child, he is my baby, and I, too, am guilty of doing much more than I probably should have.   He is having a rough time with being homesick as well.  I will pray for you son and all our SR's.  Lets wish them a better week.  I did read that by week 4 the yelling starts to wind down.So let's think good thoughts for our boys and girls...well by now..men and women.
Comment by diannep on April 5, 2011 at 4:00pm
Michelle:  Many of them want out at some time...my son said there was actually a line in his division one day....but hopefully it was a fleeting moment for your son.  He has come SO FAR so hopefully he will hang in there!
