hey Reneric...we just started a group under SHIP 03/DIV 152...you are so welcome to join us!  I find that the discussion under PIR 4/29/11 is so helpful, too since our SRs will graduate the same day.

Most of us just received our first letter this week, and I don't know of anyone in our DIV that has gotten a phone call yet...but soon, hopefully.  So, we don't know much about the CO and DIV yet....

Got my phone call!! i was tlaking to my friend when i saw an incoming 847 #~~ ! i answered immediately and heard a hello but was disconnected!! at the same time my son, jordan's brother, walked in and said he just missed a call from jordan.  i stared at the phone -- please call, please call, please call -- and finally - he called back -- made it collect through verizon - it was 12.99 but id pay whatever fortune for his voice!! he spoke to his brother 1st then me.  he has a cold and sounds horrible! was able to get some medicines for the congestion.  he seems very happy - said they have little time & on their free time they catch up on assignments i.e. ironing etc.. but no sleeping!! i caught him up on what's happening in town and at home. he said he passed the swim test and the other tests (scored 4.9 out of 5). he spoke to his little sister who is 9 - she said "you sound different!" and "did you get my letters"! the call was 30 minutes because he lost some time with the disconnect. asked me to call his friends & to tell them hello & to write because the letters keep him going.  i wanted to curl up on the sofa and  talk to him all night.  i feel so much better. so much calmer knowing my son is well.  going to write him a letter tonight. sent the word out to his friends.  so far so great!! i hope everyone got their calls (mine came in at 630 - i live in NE) and are feeling as excited as i am.

So is it normal for the "3 week" call to come on a Friday, or can they come any day of the week? I'm just so excited for my call after hearing some people received theirs and I'm just curious what day I might be able to expect it!

We got our first letter today!  Yahoo!  It was great!  He sounds good!  It was short and sweet, but still really great...like you said Dayciavu... I'm on cloud 9 now.

Got my phone call. My phone said we were on the call for 40 minutes but it just didn't seem like it. Here is to hoping for another call soon. Hopefully they will not make me go a whole month again.

Josie...Bryan just had his teeth cleaned and checked... He had his first half done during one sitting...can't remember if he had his 2nd half done yet or not...wonder why they only clean 1/2 at a time.
