Hello 4-15-11 PIR group,
Our group ‘Adopt a Noble Sailor Write Every Recruit’ ANSWER – is a SR specific letter-writing group. We have a growing number of SR's names submitted and there has been overwhelming support with cards and letters written to letter less or recuperating SR’s. So, if any of your SR's hears, have, or happen to mention that they know of someone getting very little to no mail please let us know. We have some terrific people on standby just waiting for names & addresses. Send the SR name and address to me by private message ONLY. We will then send out the word. Or, request to join and wait for approval to send the information by Send Message to Group. Remember some of the SR’s family/friends are not members of N4M's. They do not understand how truly golden mail is to our future Sailors. I admit I did not, and probably would not have known if not for NavyForMoms.com !
We ask that everyone observe that names and addresses of our SR’s are not to be posted in comments or public forums.

Nearly every PIR have SR’s that get little, to no mail. We are the village that shows action of empathy by writing card/letters to those ready to give it all for us, their country!
Have a wonderful day everyone. HooYah!
That is awesome swim4life. It is so wonderful to see our kids blossoming before our eyes, this is such a God send for my daughter and it seems, most of the wonderful SRs in the NAVY!!!
Her hair should be ok by graduation, it will not however, be at the length it was before she enlisted (almost to her bottom). That was almost a factor to not go Navy, but Air Force instead (they don't make ladies cut their hair). I am glad she went Navy!!!
p.s. thanks for sharing your letters....and Kathy from TX, no matter how bad the haircut, we know it will look adorable by graduation!
My SR is giving up his Sunday liberty to work in the chapel all day.He doesn't have much time to write, so I'm enjoying your letters a lot. Thanks. Who do you know that would give up their only 3 hours of freedom? My son is a changed man, and I can't wait to see him...
hey goliathmacdog...my son is headed to GC after BC too! Their liberty radius at BC is only 35 miles..? Check out the group NUKE MOMS...I don't think they are allowed use of a POV (personally owned vehicle) the first 4 weeks of A school. Even then, they have a 75 mile radius for liberty. not much!
I'm planning on going out to TX, driving my son's car back home to TN, and about week 5 of A school I'll drive it to GC for him. MOMS ROCK!
aw - that's great about the hair cut!! glad that she's rocking it!! very cool! i think the girls are the bravest - my son has been prepared physically and mentally but for a girl to go in & have the immediate expectations to achieve higher is extraordinary!! kudos to all you mothers with daughters in the Navy! i couldn't do it (my dad was career air force & tried to convince me to join !)
