Just saw a message on the Recruit Training Center's facebook page stating that unless there are issues with obtaining a flight if your sailor is leaving the state for A-school he or she will be a Saturday departure, and that sometimes sailors will not know this until graduation.  My hotel is reserved through Monday...either i am going sight seeing or heading home early :-(...hoping he has flight issues so I will be able to see him more than Friday and Saturday at the airport.

My husband called tonight!!!! yay!! apparently my letters got lost in the mail. He's doing so great and is a section leader. He got his wisdom teeth out. Likes all the physical training. Misses us and enjoys my letters a bunch! He said him and many others(most) were crying as they were reading their first letters. real men cry, our SR's are real men!!! I'm so proud of my husband and everyone else too! Hope you all start getting calls too :)

Navywifeandmom -

I too just got a phone call!!  WOO HOO!!  (check your in box!)

My SR doesn't get his teeth out til A-school! My SR also left on 3/2.

I got 2 letters today too!!  I am on cloud nine!!

Comment by Navywifeandmom - 3/150 on March 23, 2011 at 7:58pm

My SR left 03/02. I forgot to mention he had 3 wisdom teeth taken out earlier this week. His 4th one was too high up to remove. Also said it wasn't too bad but his cheeks are bruised. They told him that was normal.

Still filled with excitement over his call!! Mail tomorrow! :)

Div 924/Ship02: YAY!! received my 1st letter today!! Jordan sounds SO PUMPED!!! he said that his division is really getting it together & there is not one person there he doesn't like!  He said they push them everyday - and all the little details are easy once you get use to it. He's excited about the challenges ahead.  And he  misses me. Today is a good day!!
