No call or letter here yet. BUT this is terribly ironic. We were out for dinner the other day at a Chinese place and of course we got the token fortune cookies at the end.

Was hard not to cry! Over a fortune cookie!!!

There are wonderful hugs shared on PIR day !  LOTS of hugs!  It won't be long now for you all to get/give those hugs!

Did you know that sometimes they have someone from a different division preform with the 900 divisions? My sailor told me this yesterday. They had someone from a different division sing with them in the choir and do a solo. Justinmom, maybe he should fill them in on his talent :-)

Josie and Angie....I, too, wonder about my son needing a hug, and for sure could use one too. I am overwhelmed by how much I miss my son. I am so hoping for a letter.

Josie...I feel the same way. I miss my son also. I wonder if he needs a hug...I know I need one. I also need a letter and/or a phone call. 4/29 will not come fast enough!!

i miss my son.  i wonder if he needs a hug.  i haven't received a letter & am feeling selfish for not being patient. my son is teh 2nd of 4 -- it doesn't matter how many children you have; when they leave, it crushes your heart. i hold onto no news is good news & feel very confident that he is well & only working hard to do what he has to.  but i miss him and i need to know he's ok. and i want to hug him.  can't wait for 4/29. ouch.

I feel the same as you oneluvdmom.....I have such great feelings of expectation when I see the mail carrier and then when there is no letter.....ugh..its like a crash.  But, if they can do this...we can do this....and yes....chins up.
Comment by diannep on March 22, 2011 at 5:43pm
SailorMom:  You should receive a letter from him, assuming he writes.....in the next week or two.  Hopefully this week!  You could even get a phone call in that time...calls are random but eventually they DO come in.  Chin up!  It gets better!

justinmom:  Sounds like the 900 division missed out on some great talent in your son!
