Well I am glad we haven't rushed in to anything. Recruiter also told us that he could write a letter the first Sunday he was there.  Does that mean tomorrow or is the first Sun. of BC?  Wewere also told by a friend that graduated in OCT.  that the schedule would be in the letter.  I don't want to confuse anyone here.  Thanks so much for your help.

aelkins:  My son was actually there about 10 weeks because the Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years holidays pushed their training back.

OK, I understand.  Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.  THANKS for the clarification!

I have not received anything!  His recruiter told us graduation was eight full weeks from the start of BC.  He counted the weeks on the calender and told us April 29th.What will they do for another week up there?

Jessica has a knack for figuring out these PIR dates!  So I'm sure that one or the other is correct.  Sometimes they "skip" a week for PIR and that is the hard part to figure out.

At aelkins-  you will get a letter and it will be posted here:

"PIR date"
There is a web site to check grad dates.
http://www1.netc.navy.mil/nstc/rtcgl/upcoming_grads.asp

At this point we are all guessing :)

Guessing:)  We are in the same DIV, so I wanted to start something now and adjust it when we get the final "real" date!

NOT sure if I have asked this b4 BUT how do u all know when the PIR is?  Our daughter is ship 3 div 148 and I have not gotten the letter yet.  R u all just guessing?  Not trying to sound dumb or brash, I just dont know.

Sherri:  There are no PIR "tickets."  Just the 4 names listed in the form letter you will receive.  However, extras usually get in...even if they have to wait until all on the lists are seated.  Even when there have been 14 divisions at a PIR, I still have not heard of someone not getting in. But it could happen...RTC will not guarantee anyone getting in other than the 4 on the list. Your SR can't really do anything about that....he is only allowed the 4 names (those 12 and under do not count towards the 4 names).  I hear of some SRs "selling" their spots on their form letter to other SRs who need extras!  I hope that the SRs don't participate in that and hold on to their cash!  It is always a good idea that all supporting a particular sailor arrive at the same time/in same group to pass through security.
