STILL sitting at the airport in Richmond, VA a quick drive from our house. Been here for hours and hope to get on the flight that now leaves at 5:28. Was hoping to meet everyone at the Meet and Greet but don't see that happening now since we fly into O'Hare and still need to connect with one of our sons coming in from Orlando, get the rental car, drive to the Navy Lodge and check in. Whew! Are we there yet? lol!

LaLa - LOVE the little sailors and ribbon!! Thanks a bunch!!

We just checked in here at the Ramada. We have to go to the mall and get glasses for my hubby-somewhere along the way he lost his glasses. I think they're in IN just before we crossed over into IL. See you all tonight!

I mailed the cell phone and other stuff to my daughter as well. She had her new address the same day she arrived in Pensacola on Saturday and I mailed it all out on Monday. She had it by Wednesday and i sent homemade cookies and candy too :-) She and her friends were very thankful for those :-)

Navywifeandmom I hope you make your flight and it is not further delayed. Everyone have a wonderful time at PIR and travel safely. Bravo Zulu to all your Sailors from the PIR Ribbon Queen :-)

I would be VERY CAUTIOUS of putting cells, laptops, etc in an airport locker for your sailors.  What if there is a problem and they don't have time to get to the locker?  Or last minute, there is an airport change in their flight?  I would NOT do it.  Better to mail it to your sailors once they are at A School if you can't meet them at the airport to give those things to them.

Brittany:  What we have read about the flights to A School is that they will fly out Sat unless flights are full, then they overflow into Sun.

We are packed and ready to leave for the airport in Richmond, VA but just received notification that our flight has been delayed by over an hour due to the storm. GREAT!!

Safe travels everyone!!
