From what my daughter wrote and told me, there is a lot of people not feeling well, my husband calls it the ricky crud, says at one point all recruits come down with cold like symptoms.  Lets just hope they all get well and can get to a normal routine again, well, as normal as it can be while they are at Great Lakes.

My training is going good! Just trying to learn everything. I'm super excited! And I just decided to ship off from my MEPs. It's gonna be a hectic week/weekend for me!

I'm with you Sailorwhitworth, lets pray that they can stay on schedule!  How's your training going?  Are you getting excited?  Did you ever find out if you can stay up in GL after graduation?

I got a letter from my SR yesterday. :)

He sounded pretty good. But, he said they almost got all of their contracts pulled because someone decided to tie a noose in their knot tying class. Instead, they ASMO'd the guy and got beat for two hours. My SR is also one with the Flu. :( I really hope this doesn't set them back a week!

@ Ruth...Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that your son's re- up can be switched back to before PIR!! I am looking forward to congratulating him and your family. The congrats will be there either way but will keep you all in our prayers!!

We got another letter from our son yesterday! He is just great, was even telling us a few jokes and telling us how the RDC challenges the younger kids to keep up with him! It was during one of the PFA's and he said  that B was old enough for a walker and he was beating them. B hollered "Oooh Rah Delta Males!"  He said it was one of his proudest moments so far!! I could just burst with joy for him!

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you that have families, or are yourselves being affected by all of these wicked storms and rising waters!  We also have families in the areas. Hope today is a better day, with more to come!

Yes, those were the ones, Tricsious; it showed the BBQ and corn, fresh fruit, etc. I saw them several days ago; they should be there somewhere!

Ochoas, I like how we find mold, missing tiles, etc and see these as flaws; our boys see them as 'par for the course' and move on. Ha!

@talally~so did I looking for the same thing.  I didn't find it either.  The only thing I can think of are the pics from a few days go with the fresh fruit?  The last letter I received from my dtr said she had fresh pineapple which she was excited about and ice cream which made her feel fat.  Lol  Go figure!

my 2nd to the oldest is buying a house and the realtor just laughs at me when we look because I point out all of the things wrong with them like missing tiles, mold, doors messed up, neighborhoods, fixtures, appliances, etc. I tend to see the details that others miss, but I just say that is why I am along to point out these things, so far my son is okay with it.
