I saw that picture of 809; it would be great to see 811 some day on there!

Hmmm......Gardening Brenda....I'm going to CLAIM that then!  HA!  Thanks!  My older son is talking of buying a house...I hope he really DOES still think I know everything because he sure needs some good advice!  :-)

Talally, if you go to https://www.facebook.com/#!/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand, you can see their pictures of the day; I doubt they'll ever have 811 on there, but it's fun to see different divisions on there. They had the Easter meal on a few days ago.

tks- yeah for your daughter! and diannep, they may not say it, but they still think mom knows everything; they just don't say it anymore. :  ) I hear my son saying things I've said to him to his younger brother...it's too funny.

I got a letter from my daughter today. She talked about getting her wisdom teeth pulled and having an allergic reaction to meds but is doing better. She was 1 of 3 that scored 50 out of 50 on their first academic test.  The division received  their first flag. Yeah!!! On Apr. 17th their RDC played music for them. She said they had a really easy schedule with some free time.

Gardening Brenda:  10 yrs old was my most favorite age for both of my sons....sigh....they are now 25 and 27 and no longer think that "mom knows everything" like they did at 10!  :-)

Ruth:  Hope he gets it changed back!

You never know with the Navy what's happening!  My son was supposed to reenlist before PIR at 0730, now it's changed to 1100 when no one will be around probably.  He's hoping to get it changed back.

Yes, we were hoping for a call, too, but no luck. It was good to see they were eating well for Easter based on the facebook pictures. This was our first Easter without him and it was different; usually I hide my kids' baskets (yes, even our 18 year old's basket!) and they'd go look for them. He got more of a kick out of watching his younger brother look for his than searching for his own. : ) So this was a little sadder, I guess, but we knew this day was coming. I can't keep him ten forever. I would LOVE a call by Mother's Day!  I hope there's one sooner than that; I haven't heard his voice since that first night there...

CynRipp~so happy for you!  Nothing would have made my day more perfect than to hear from my dtr.  I am so glad for you!  I am sure it made your easter magical!  I hope they got to do something fun together!  I'm hoping for Mother's Day!

Recieved a 20 minute phone call from our Recruit (02-927) yesterday.  All is perfect with the world!
