Ok, this is a stupid question, but how do I change my user name to add ship, div, and PIR?

Received a letter from Jason today. When he first got there they made him EPO (Education Petty Officer). They have now changed him to APO (Athletic Petty Officer). This will suit him much better. He was working out with Seals at our local YMCA and is in great shape. Said to send lots of letters. Said they all live for letters from home.

I got my first real letter today YEAH!. It was dated March 30th and he said they had just gotten to their "home"learning marches, how to fold laundry stuff like that. Said he was fine, but lonely. My husband told him they were going to call him "maggot", he said tell dad I love him and miss him first of all and secondly the don't call us "maggot", it's "clown"

Hi Beverly...My daughter is on Ship 04 Div 192. I got the first real letter yesterday. According to her letter they are with the Seals and their work-outs are a little more difficult. But she said she is doing fine and keeping up well. According to her letters, the first one she started was on 3/26 and the second was on Easter Sunday. From what I gathered, either Monday or Tuesday of this week they started week 1-1. She said their Head Cheif is a woman coreman (nurse) who is strict, but good, the 2nd Class Petty Officer is really strict, but according to her he knows his stuff and will be a great asset to the division, and the Petty Officer is a layed back southern boy. She did say that a bunch of the recruits were "screwing around" and they all had to do "punishment work-outs" in the house, but everyone who was prepared did just fine. She did say that some of the recruits did not workout with their Recruiters and were struggling a bit. But by the end of next week, their leaders said they will all be up to snuff. I hope you hear from your son soon. I am sure your letter will get there in no time.

Thanks Traci.

1-1 would be week 1 day 1 so 1-2 should be week 1 day 2.

Kimberly, if you find out what the numbers mean, please post it. I'm curious myself.

Note: Rob said that they are only allowed to mail and receive letters once a week. I don't know if that's a general rule or just his RDC's rule. I know they only have Sunay's to write them.

No letter yet for me but will take alot longer to get to England. All the official letters will be going to his father who lives in the States. I am following what is happening by everybody's comments here, which is great for me. A life line.

Happy for you, Traci. It's amazing how just a simple letter can affect us. Rob mentioned too that as of last Sunday, actual bootcamp hasn't started. I hope the PIR date doesn't change now.
