My Sailor made it to Charleston, SC this evening.  Will be picking out his house on base Tuesday and hopefully Wednesday flying home to get his wife for their move together to Charleston!  So excited for their new adventure together!  So proud of my Sailor of the United States Navy!

They made it to texas a few min ago. The airline went and took all they're see bags off the plane to count and weigh them so they took off late. They waited to right before take off. Stupid they had their stuff there for 12 hrs before hand they could have done that instead of after they boarded

Oh my gosh watching that walk in the mist was amazing hard to explain it if u didn't see it. But that was probobly the moment it me the most watching her walk back on the base squaring off all her steps and disappearing in the mist absolutely beautiful

Jeff, we can always meet at Shoshone falls.  :)  I hear it is beautiful right now.

Ha ha about the girlfriend.  I told my son that I was glad that he didn't have a girlfriend because then he wouldn't have been excited to see us.  :)  He assured me that he still would have been, but I know better.

Funniest thing my SR kept saying was how hot all the girls were, EVERYWHERE.  At one point he asked if I thought maybe the girls really weren't that hot but he just hadn't seen any for so long maybe they just looked really good.  :)  I thought of all those sailors and the bad reputation they got about girls in every port and it had new meaning to me.  We decided it was like going to the grocery store when you are really hungry.  ;)

I'm still hanging onto every memory from the day.  What an amazing experience.

Girlsyk, what a wonderful recap of this weekend. We had a view of our Sailor the whole time.I got a closer lookwith my binoculars and he was smirking trying to NOT smile since he recognized us in the stands by my husband's cowboy hat. The Rear Admiral spoke so reverently of past seamen as if he knew them personally. What an inspiring history lesson! The waterworks began after the invocation and the Navy hymn. The reality of it all hit me! I forgot tissue. My nose looks big and red in the pictures. I was also thinking pic how surreal it was. . .hanging with our Sailor in his whites.
parrot-the gf beat me to the hug, but he preferred that.
He proposed to her and she told me how he did it and said. Bawled again, I taught him well! I am so PROUD of him.
All the Sailors walking back to their shopsin the mist was so romantic. girlsyk you described it very well.
I wish I could have met y'all.would have been fun to.
